First assignment of last semester done (well, kinda last sem.)

Greetings from a fixed Eastern suburbs room!

(Mark P has finished fixing the cracks in our house :) )

It's funny how moods change.

Although I'm still a bit down, I feel much friendlier to the world in general today. Debating was fun tonight, there was a ripper quodlobetical, about whether or not a doctor should give a life-saving blood transfusion to an 8 year old who is wearing a bracelet identifying him as a member of a religion that disagree with blood transfusion. They handled it fairly well, I enjoyed watching them tackle some really good issues. I really like the Heathfield team; they aren't great technical debaters at all, but they're a lovely bunch of kids and think about the topic well.

I'm enjoying this trick of going to both Bible talks, I do get to see more people, and I always get a bit out of hearing the talk twice. The funny thing from today is that one of the Bible talks on MYC didn't record, and it happened to be the one where I did the reading...so tomorrow we're 're-recording', if you can call it that.

So yeah, life looking up a bit today. Some people have far worse problems than I do, and it's nice to get perspective.

I'm enjoying The Case for Faith by Lee Strobel, even though it's full of mistakes/bad logic/etc., there are some really good points, and it's a good read anyway.

That should do it then

p.s. I got a speeding fine the other day! I can hardly believe it!
