digital killed the video star
1) my ipod broke yet again. it frequently needs to be restored to its factory settings but now that i've upgraded to iTunes 7, the iTunes doesn't recognize it. I have decided to just send the damn thing back to Apple for repair. repair is free because it is still under warranty.
2) i still need my music. i bought a pre-owned 1GB Nano just to get me by while my video ipod is being fixed. a $110 purchase just to tide me over for the three-4 weeks it will take for my iPod to be fixed! some of my friends say i'm sick but i see it as a good trade off. and then i'll have two ipods! and every self-respecting consumer knows, what could be better than one of something but more than one of something!
i wonder if i'm addicted. i seem to remember samuel lurie telling me my life would be changed by the ipod. i fear he was right. i can no longer conceive of my life without the ipod.
and it's also interesting to note that i am addicted to the ipod, not just any regular ol' mp3 player. i need my ipod. coke, macdonalds, starbucks, ipod. our lives are controlled by brand loyalty.
