Hey, bandwagon! Wait for me!

I've decided to join in on all this Veronica Mars action. I was going to watch an ep a day or so but I ended up watching all 4 on the first disk in under 24 hours, which should give you an indication of my thoughts on the show. But allow me to elaborate:

Hee. 'Backup' gets me every time. )

Well you've not really gotten to the good part of the season. It picks up around episode 10 or 11 and doesn't stop till the end of the finale. Those 11 or 12 eps are some of the tightest scripted and well plotted stuff I've seen on tv. But I never flipped out over the show. I like it, but don't love it. I liked it last season while it was airing, then got a little taken with a show over the summer and decided it had a very good first season, and wanted to see what it would come up with in s2.

I've thus far been underwhelmed. But I think its perhaps from trying to do too much all at once. There's a little too much in the pot and its not quite gelling. This last week was the best episode, IMO. It was the most streamlined in the mystery dept and it focused on the main interesting ships on the show. Though I'm not talking romantic ships, since I don't ship at all with this show.

Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated. Hee!

Glad you're enjoying it so far. I agree with Laura that episode 10 is when the season fully hits its stride. Unlike her, I loooooooove the show in a bordering-on-unhealthy way, and I do, indeed ship -- although I'm actually liking the fact that my ship is way off-course right now. Go figure. It's a sign of really good writing when a show can fuck your ship up completely and make you like it even more than you did when it was sailing smoothly. *g*

Yeah, I enjoyed the first few eps, and wanted to keep watching, but it wasn't til the middle of the season when I sort of fell in love with it. Wait til "An Echolls Family Christmas," or "Russkie Business." Though, there is some good Logan/Weevil coming up soon, like in episode 7, I think.

Blame it on Kenya for my unhealthy obsession with the show, Logan, and Logan/Veronica in particular. *g* Which is hilarious, because I hated Logan when the show started.

I guess I should just say "ditto" to everyone else, but really, just wait. Oh, manohmanohmanohman. Does this show get good after the Christmas episode (10). If you are liking it quite a bit already, you will be amazed I(unless you're spoiled for the major plot points, in which case you will be just wildly entertained).
