Ford the river!!!
Snicker. I was planning on getting stuff done today. And then carrielh linked to the online version of Oregon Trail and I've been killing BSG characters while fording rivers ever since. Although the best so far has been Zarek and the three broken legs he incurred during one trip. I don't know why but that made me laugh. Seriously, though, it's really quite wrong how much I enjoy this game. I mean, I played it like crazy in the 6th grade but I'm surprised by how much fun I still have while playing it.
And between games I've been going through the BSG commentaries. I've listened to all the podcasts but there are some new ones on the earlier eps that are pretty good. Mostly they're about production and story issues which as a writer/producer in training I find fascinating but I'm sure are probably pretty boring to everyone else. Not boring though were the comments made by Ron and David during "Bastille Day". After Ron (I think.) said, "And now here's a scene with Apollo, Zarek, and Apollo's triceps" they went off onto a brief yet enjoyable tangent about Jamie Bamber's arms. See?! It's not just us crazed Jamie Bamber lovers.
And finally there's the hockey. First of all I know I'm on crack cause while I was watching the Kings game last night I wondered where MV was and if he was watching the game too. I know. I got issues. Anyway we lost but the team had a really strong first period and Roenick seems to be a great addition so I'm hopeful for the rest of the season. KINGS RULE!!!
