I loved Xena's (For that is what she will always be to me) line about how she was sick and tired of people accusing her of being unpatriotic because she really did want Galactica to succeed.
I think I saw this a bit differently, of course we come at this from different political views as well. Yes there are genuinely patriotic journalists that question what those in power do. For the right reasons of trying to make a more perfect union, holding those in power to the highest possible standards. Then there's someone like say Robert Fisk who is a genuine fifth column type in is country. He's not just wishing to hold the government to a high standard, he wants them to lose. And he's open about it. Now she wasn't, but I think that's what they were trying to portray.
Because she's didn't in the end decide to do a hard hitting peice. She could have presented Kat's decision to go on stims not sympathetically, but as a driven pilot out of control. She did a piece that in the end would allow her further access to Galactica. Which serves her own purposes.
I'm glad I never watched Zena, it caused no problems for me in that regard. And she's a much better actress than I was expecting.
Have you seen the episode descrip for the last episode of the summer? That is going to be intense. Adama frustration & angst, woo hoo!
