Wow. That's pretty much the stupidest reason I've ever heard for having problems with one's coach. What was Marjamäki supposed to do, sign a lifetime contract with the Blues and never even consider anything else?

I get that the selling of Ramstedt hurt like hell, but that does sound like one of those situations, where either way the team would've ended up with the sort end of the stick, if he himself really wanted to go.

Do you either block the change your player has of going forward with his career and risk him becoming discrunteled and his play suffering for it, or anger the fans by selling out your best player?

At least this way they could try and find someone to replace him. Too bad that they struck out on it so badly though.

So basically Marjamäki either needs a strong captain or an assistant coach who is good in the locker room, and with the Blues he had neither? No wonder they've ended up as such a hot mess.

Shame all in all. Blues aren't really my team my any account, but they have this certain symphaty to them that always makes me wish the best for them, and this season it looks like Myrphy has hit them bad.

And it's not like it's the first time in a history of ever that a coach is on his last year of contract and will be somewhere else come next season. Unbelievable fuckery..

On the record at least Kärpät kept claiming that they never received any offers for Haataja, but who knows what the truth is.. And of course any speculation on why did the Blues decide to sell Ramstead is just guessing, but him wanting to leave sound like a logical one, assuming that the team was serious about having success this season.

As for what happened with Miettinen, that felt a lot more baffling to me. I mean did they gain anything by it, other than more fans angered by another favorite player going somewhere else, and soured mood in the locker room?

Hopefully Marjamäki won't end up at least as a head coach on team Finland just yet. He'd do so much better at it with few more years of experience.

Jalonen struggling at the start the way he did, is in now way surprise. Especially when you factor in the way the head coach has to deal with Kummola and his ego. If your players don't respect you at all and you're constanstly getting walked all over by your superiors, how the hell are you supposed to do your job?
