If you're a regular tea drinker like myself, not having any makes you go into cold turkey from the lack of caffeine. Yup, that's where the headache is from. I've done my best to reduce how much tea I intake and it's nowhere near as bad when I do it now. :)
I've tried cutting caffeine out of my diet altogether in the past, and it just turned me into the angriest, most pained man in the universe, so I try not to go cold turkey as such. The problem is that I tend to drink much less tea and coffee when at home than at work, plus I've cut my caffeinated soft drink amount down by a huuuuge percentage, so that probably just snowballed the problem.
After a mega mug of coffee, some dinner and now a couple of cups of (unsugared! Go me! :P ) green tea, I'm feeling much better :)
Cool! Green Tea is so much better for you anyway. If you do drink anything soft drink wise, stick to the full fat versions.. mainly due to the sweeteners in "Diet/Max/Zero" drinks make your body retain fat!
Mecks switched to flavoured sparkling water, namely the lemon & lime variety found at Tesco/Sainsburys/Morrisons. They don't use much in the line of sugars and no sweeteners. Also, no other artificial gunk in them too!

I'll be sticking with the green tea though, I've found a twinings one that has mint in it as well and I'm rather liking it :)
