books n stuff
Yeah so I am done reading the HP series, they sit in stacks sorted in order and by hardbound vs soft. (aside from the newest release, I only have the hardbound.) I am sure that I will re-read them but now I wonder if I should go back to reading my Anne Rice books or the Lord of the Rings series. Hrm... Some part of me wants to read dQ's book but that simply wont happen. I have mentioned that I will send them back and so I shall. It is a first release and all.
The Deathly Hallows. I have no opinion really on the latest HP book, yet, aside from all of the unnecessary deaths - I have intentionally not read the last chapter at this point in time because I know its just rainbows shooting out of JK Rowling's ass to make sure that her fans don't send her death threats. I will read it, just not today.
Marty has stocked me up on Christopher Moore books - although 'Lamb' being about Jesus's 30 missing years, still is my ultimate favorite. (yes coming from someone like me who used to be catholic but is no longer - that is somewhat shocking BUT the story is told by his best friend Biff. Digest that for a moment) I have not laughed aloud so often reading a book ever in my life. I have six of his books still left unread and one I need to replace as I sent it to dQ. Maybe I should read those, they're definitely not heavy reading and will fill the time before I go back to finishing up 'Lasher' and onto 'Taltos'
So there you have it, I have resolved the question of what do I read next. Aren't you glad you participated? :)
Today I clean the house. Today I attempt to write more in VM. Today I attempt to break a tie that binds. Visiting the ocean for some coffee and ... erm, stuff will be beneficial, perhaps ritualistically cleansing. We will see.
