Heathcare & healthcare hell
Yeah so, we all know how wonderful I am about going to the doctor's.. I hate them but they're necessary sometimes even I will confirm.
I went to see Buckley yesterday and he and his Dr in training were outwardly amazed at the condition of my sinuses. Apparently they were pretty bad, I'd been handed three perscriptions to fight with blue cross about. Ah yes but another story I will get to in a moment. Moving right along, I have a massive sinus infection that has moved into my right ear and caused a huge infection in my lip as well. I look just adorable.
An hour and a half passes and I finally am out of there and off to see my chiropractor. This shit hurt pretty badly and as I was walking out he mentions that I need to go back on Friday. I asked if that was necessary and he announces that I am pretty fucked up and yes it was necessary.
Yeah whatever, fine. So I make an appointment for Friday evening.
The best of all is that it took two fucking hours to get my meds. Apparently, although I am in the system, my information has yet to be completely processed. My antibiotics were to cost me $180.00. Yeah, I don't think so. So back and forth calls to blue cross and my doctors office to locate something that would do the trick but also something I could afford.
After some debate, I opted to have the mucinex (that you have to fill out a wonderful form for now, and they swipe your drivers license in the computer. Just amazing) for the decongestant.
I can't stay home today, I have too many meetings - so off to get ready for work I go.
