I have good news -- the tumor looked very like a plain, everyday lipoma, nothing at all to worry about in the least. I went to watch, since I've never seen surgery with a laser before, and it took Dr. Vaughn a bit of time to get through the muscle to the growth, but it was well formed and just popped right out, about 3/4 the size of a golf ball. Of course, we won't be positive it's a lipoma until the histopath report comes back (10-14 days) but it does look like good news.
I stayed with E in the recovery room until he tried to get up, then left him in a crate to rest. They're going to pull blood on him this afternoon to run an extensive thyroid panel, and then he can come home. =) I just hope Cora will leave him alone when he does. =7
