Stupid. He is stupid and like every other idiot in this world, he doesn’t deserve happiness. The only thing fools like him deserve is to be abandoned, and he has unwillingly accepted that fact. The chance to experience love is a privilege that only those clever enough are entitled to, how foolish is he to fancy that privilege when he’s a mere fool.
“I wasn’t always a fool,” he’d say to comfort himself when faced with the fact that fools don’t have the right to love.
He still remember how he lost the right to love, it was a summer afternoon if he’s not mistaken. It happened so long ago, but somehow it’s still fresh in his mind.
He was a singer back then, a good one too. It was the launching of his new album, so the organizers held a fansigning event, against his wishes of course. He loathes his fans, he views them as a mere money making tool. They were fools, and he was still clever back then. Clever people don’t love fools.
“What’s your name?” he said, not bothering to look up.
“Kim Ryeowook,” the person with the girly voice replied. He looked up to hand the signed album; the smile that fool gave him was a smile he had never received before.
That smile told him that this fool was not just any fool; this fool was a fool in love.
Fools that think they have the right to love are the worst kind of fools. They feed their illusions with stupid imaginations, believing in the impossible. Fairytales were made to pacify the imaginations of these fools, Cinderella never existed. If she did exist, then Prince Charming must’ve been a fool too.
Back to the story,
He was angry, how dare this fool love him. He ought to teach this “Ryeowook” a lesson; a fool doesn’t simply fall in love with Cho Kyuhyun and gets away with it.
He doesn’t really know why he’s angry, thousands of other fools loves him, but this fool makes him particularly angry.
“You have the looks, meet my manager and tell him I want you to be my back-up dancer,” he said with a smirk on his face to the foolishly adorable fool.
The fool, being a fool was overjoyed. Despite not knowing how to dance, he agreed.
Cho Kyuhyun smiled as he handed the CD to Kim Ryeowook.
After 3 more grueling hours of signing CD’s, he was finally done. He went to his van and saw the fool standing there waiting for him, a smile unknowingly form on his face as he saw how the fools face brightens upon seeing him. He should’ve known that this was the first symptom to a life of foolishness.
“So, your name is Ryeowook right?” he asked the fool as he leaned his tired body on the van.
“Yes Kyuhyun-sshi,” the fool replied.
“Can you dance?”
“Nope,” the fool replied, eyes now watery.
“Why are you crying?” he asked, perplexed. Why was this fool crying and most importantly, why is he feeling guilty?
“I… I just really want to be a part of your team, but I’m not good at anything,” the fool said in between sobs.
“You must be good at something, how about singing? Try singing a song of mine,” Cho Kyuhyun said, he was set to embarrass this fool. His songs were all difficult to sing, even veteran singers who had tried to sing his songs failed, this fool was bound to fail too.
The fool started singing and once the fool stop, the crowd cheered, even his hard-to-please manager clapped.
Kyuhyun felt challenged, this foolish fool is trying to outshine him.
He was going to make this fool pay for outshining him, but feeling revengeful is one of the first step to becoming a fool, but Cho Kyuhyun didn’t know this back then despite being clever.
He held out his hand and welcomed the fool to become his back-up singer, and thus began Kyuhyun’s road to self-destruction.
A/N : It was supposed to be a oneshot, but it's 12.30am here and I'm sleepy and there's still school tomorrow morning. Too lazy to triple check the grammar, so forgive me for the grammar errors.
