The ashes of Dan Brown cover my alley...

....The BBC has taken over my mind. I've exhausted American TV, and plus, it's the summer TV Drought of Doom. First it was Planet Earth, because I'm a sucker for cute little dolphins and monkeys and 3 centimeter tall, nobbly pink seahorses headbutting each other, Doctor Who obviously, Casanova because David Tennant is pretty and David Tennant having copious amounts of sex is even prettier (I never said I was deep), and finally Life on Mars because John Simm as The Master sparked my interest.

Oh man, Life on Mars. I watched the whole thing in two days and am so in love. Unfortunately, this presents two problems. One, John Simm is now firmly established in my mind as Sam Tyler instead of The Master, which means I get very confused when The Master does not act like an emo, schizophrenic DI (HAHAHA BUT HE MENTIONED DOCTOR WHO. I AM EASILY AMUSED). Two, because of my annoying tendency to unconsciously affect the speaking styles of others, I've sounded like an ornery British cop from 1973 for two days straight ;_;

Anyway.

The other night, mellorine and I decided that a spur of the moment burning of The Da Vinci Code was absolutely necessary and perfectly cathartic, so we took my hardcover copy (YES I OWN IT SHUT UP. I THINK MY DAD BOUGHT IT FOR ME AGES AGO?), a candle, and many supersized, extra-long matches into my alley. Page by page, we decimated that shameful excuse for literature. It all worked well enough until my downstairs neighbor came out to the garage, didn't say a word, and just LURKED...Anyway,

Hooray for the death of terrible writing! Even though I KNOW it's not a REAL book, I still cringe to see a book burning ;_;

Afsfghjkl. I miss college. I don't like the thought of another two months much, especially when the days are passed either willing the clock at work to speed up or willing the clock on my off-days to slow down :/ Sigh.

planet earth, doctor who, casanova, dan brown is dead!, david tennant, life on mars, bbc
