Sasuke felt the rough wooden planks of the wall digging into his back as he listened to the rain with his eyes closed. The scent of rain was calming. He still privately marveled at the fact that he could sit with his eyes shut and needn't worry about a potential attack. Not that there weren't those who wished to do so. He lazily opened his eyes gazing unseeingly into the rain.

It had been little more then 2 years since the war had ended with Naruto's defeat over Madara. Sasuke had been pardoned due to being "the savior of Konoha's hero". Little details such as the fact that he hadn't actually killed anyone residing in any of the hidden villages (except for Danzo who apparently weren't worth much as he had exposed himself as a traitor at the time) helped in the pardoning but were conveniently forgotten every time his pardoning had created a dispute.

Most thought Sasuke's miraculous recovery after the fatal wound he'd recieved was a terrible mistake. Meaning the sacrifice he had made should have resulted in death. Then he could be fairly celebrated as a true savior. Sasuke never commented on the issue. Tsunade had quite somberly explained that Naruto had unconsciously wielded the Kyuubi's chakra in such a way that it had enveloped him and healed him, restoring him to perfect health. He didn't have a single scar from the war.

Thinking back. Naruto hadn't been quite so lucky. All his internal and superficial injuries had healed of course. His skin having eroded had taken longer to heal, his broken arm on the other hand had healed at strange angles. Tsunade had had to re break it and cast it to make the limb functional.

"Sa-su-ke~"

Speak of the devil. Said boy leapt onto the terrace where Sasuke was currently sitting. In each hand holding a plastic bag containing groceries. Well, what Naruto considered groceries. Sasuke quirked an eyebrow seeing several packets of instant ramen peeking out of the plastic bags.

"I'm done with the shopping! We're having-"

"Let me guess, ramen?" Sasuke interjected.

Naruto's face turned into a scowl.

"If you wont have it you'll have to do your own shopping!"

"Hn" Sasuke turned his attention back to the downpour.

"Ah!" Naruto's expression instantly brightened.

"Ne ne ~ Guess who I met at the grocery store!"

Sasuke sensing that Naruto could barely contain himself settled for waiting for the answer instead of bothering to guess.

"Neiji and Ten Ten! And they were holding hands!!"

Naruto snickered as if he had discovered a secret of unimaginable proportions. Not being able to contain himself he burst out in outright laughter.

Sasuke observed him disbelievingly. "What are you, an academy student?"

Naruto's scowl returned. "Nandatou!"

Disregarding Naruto's anger he continued. "Well I guess you haven't really surpassed the mental age of a 10 year old, it's not really surprising that you'd find an adult's relationship foreign enough to laugh about."

Naruto glared threateningly "Teme! I'm not a kid, I understand plenty about "adult relationships" as you call it!"

Sasuke smirked at Naruto. "Heeh ~ Is that so"

Naruto feeling the taunt behind Sasuke's smirk shrugged as if physically ridding himself of the urge to continue with the argument.

"Whatever"

He walked passed Sasuke and entered the house through the sliding doors. A few minutes passed and he walked out with two steaming cups of instant ramen in his hands. Plopping down next to the raven he wordlessly offered him one of the cups which was silently accepted.

They ate quietly for a while. The only sound was of the rain pattering against the ground.

"Ne Sasuke" Naruto mumbled with his mouth full.

"What usuratonkachi?" Sasuke replied, exasperated by the blonds lack of table manners.

"Have you ever had one?" Naruto peered sideways at the dark haired teen.

"Had what?" Sasuke answered, confused about where this was heading.

"An adult relationship"

Sasuke almost choked on his ramen. "What's with that question all of a sudden?!"

"Pfft, you should see your face. You look like a deer in headlights." Naruto laughed.

Sasuke's face darkened. "I do not..."

Naruto just continued eating with a smug expression on his face as if saying 'Do too'.

A few minutes passed, the slurping sound of Naruto finishing his ramen increasingly annoying to Sasuke.
Setting down his empty cup and chopstick on the terrace beside him Naruto turned to Sasuke again.

"So have you?"

Sasuke furrowed his brows letting his irritation show on his face. "I don't see how that's any of your business"

Naruto grinned teasingly nudging him in the ribs. "Aaw come on now. We're buddies aren't we?"

Sasuke only scoffed at that.

Naruto's grin faded slightly.

"Have you ever been in love then?"

Sasuke turned his head in Naruto's direction. Suspicion clear in his eyes.

"What's with these questions all of a sudden?"

Naruto shrugged. "No real reason. I was just curious."

"Hmph"

The silence stretched out between them again. None of them breaking it.

Sasuke thought about Naruto's questions. Well, honestly he hadn't really had any kind of relations had he? With him leaving to train with Orochimaru for three years. That certainly hadn't been a place for any kind of budding romance. Sasuke mentally shuddered at the thought.
Sure he had had his fair share of admirers both before and after he had left Konoha. But that had been purely one-sided. And he had never entertained the thought of pursuing a relationship with any of said admirers. Not even Sakura.

Well he had only been 13 when he left so that wasn't strange in itself. But after returning and being pardoned he hadn't felt even a semblance of attraction towards the pink haired kunoichi. And Sakura seemed to have changed too. She wasn't the mindless follower she had once been. In fact it seemed as if she had given up on the idea of a relationship between the two of them entirely.

He guessed he was relieved about that. He did have some affection towards her. Although it was only a sense of comradeship. He glanced to his right where Naruto was starting to doze off. He wasn't oblivious to the fact that the only person he harbored feelings strong enough to be described as "passion", was Naruto. He directed his gaze forward, continuing to stare into the rain. He also knew, and had known for a while that he was attracted to the whiskered boy.

A loud snore broke him out of his musings.

He looked at Naruto with something akin to distaste and sighed putting his face in his hand.

He shoved him roughly making Naruto fall and hit his head on the terrace floor.

"Oi, if you're gonna sleep go to bed."

Naruto rubbed at the small bump forming on the right side of his head. "ITE NA! Teme, what was that for!"

"Hn"

Sasuke stood and walked by the heap of angry blond. Walking through the sliding door and closing it in Naruto's face.

He was pretty sure hell would freeze over before he had a chance at an "adult relationship" with the dobe extraordinaire on the other side of the door. He listened to the insults directed at him with no expression whatsoever. No it would never happen. Naruto deserved... Something better.
