Kyuhyun could barely eat his breakfast. His rice became cold but he actually didn't care as he poked the mushy grains with the tip of his chopsticks. A little pout was slowly appearing on his face when he felt someone pinching his arm.

"Ouch!"

"Hey, hey, Kyuhyun, what's wrong?" Kyuhyun turned to the source of the annoying voice and was met with Donghae's sparkling eyes.

"What?" he said, annoyed and definitely not in the mood to talk about his mood, especially not to his, according to him, retarded older brother. Donghae pouted, his tongue slightly sticking out as he began to sulk. Kyuhyun just turned away. That only worked when his mother was around. Donghae decided that he had to annoy his little brother some more and began to eat Kyuhyun's food, his eyes never leaving his brother's face as he was chewing on rice.

Kyuhyun sighed. He was not going to lose against his brother. He shot Donghae a short glance, showing that he knew hwta Donghae was doing but turned away again, showing that it did not interest him. Donghae wasn't giving up though, now poking Kyuhyun's cheek with his dirty, saliva-covered chopsticks.

"Ya! This is disgusting!" Kyuhyun jerked, rubbing his cheek until it was red.

"Tell me what's wrong and stop ignoring your big brother!"

Kyuhyun sent him a glare but Donghae just glared back. Their little silent fight continued until Donghae jerked forward with his still saliva wetted chopsticks, causing Kyuhuyn to jerk away.

"Okay, okay. Sungmin Hyung's mad."

"Yaaa brat! What did you do this time?"

"... I kinda was bratty and now he thinks I'm a nosy kid that doesn't trust him."

Donghae just raised an eye brow until Kyuhyun continued and told him the whole story.

"Seems like you fucked up, Cho Kyuhyun!" Donghae concluded and Kyuhyun just sticked out his tongue.

"Thank you for stating the obvious, Donghae."

"Hyung!"

"Whatever."

"No wonder he doesn't like you. Brat." Donghae pouted and distractedly began to nibble on the end of his chopsticks that had just been poking his brother's cheek. Kyuhyun turned his thoughts back into his own world again, not noticing the glances that Donghae was sending to him from time to time.

I should apologize. I really should. I can't sleep when he's angry with me! Kyuhyun thought, hands reaching up to his head to grab his locks and desperately pulling on his hair. What should I do, what to do?

"Kyuhyun! Won't you ask me what's wrong with me?" Donghae's voice suddenly invaded his thoughts.

"Is there something wrong with you?" Kyuhyun asked, distracted.

"I'm just as moody as you and you don't even ask me how I am?"

"Are you having your period?" Kyuhyun asked, dumbfoundly. "And where is Kibum?"

"I most certainly am not having my period!" Donghae hissed. "And Kibum is still asleep. He has a bad headache."

"Why, he is just sharing a room with you!" Kyuhyun exclaimed sarcastically and tried to get back to his own problems again.

Donghae puffed his cheeks and sulked. If he just thought of how well Eunhyuk and Sungmin got along, he couldn't believe that Kyuhyun actually was his brother.

Kyuhyun was chewing on his lower lip meanwhile, fork still abusing his food. I should apologize. I mean, I feel really bad. But... how do you apologize?

----------------------------------------------------------

That day, Kyuhyun didn't pay any attention to their class. They didn't go anywhere at first but just stayed in the hotel in a hall where their teacher was lecturing about how to treat animals they would find in the afternoon later. Kyuhyun was staring at the blank wall in front of him, head slightly tilted as he was still in his thoughts. He had to apologize, he knew it by now but he still had no idea how.

Kyuhyun was shooting short glances to Sungmin from time to time, noticing that the latter was completely ignoring him, or actually just not paying attention to him but in his paranoid state of Sungmin-Hyung-hates-me-so-much, it was ignoring to Kyuhyun. He made a little unconscious pout, what he often did when he didn't pay attention to what his face was doing and tried to at least pay a tiny bit of attention to his teacher.

"You have to be careful when you find a living, big animal. The best thing would still be to throw it into the water again if it's fine and healthy, but you need to always call me if you are not sure, alright? If it apparently is injured or maybe even dead, you have to call me immediately. But first of all, we are just examining shells and little snails if you can find them."

Kyuhyun nodded along with everybody and suddenly caught Sungmin's glance who had been shooting a look over to him for a quick second. Kyuhyun didn't know if that look had been angry, neutral or apologetic though. He was glad to receive a glance either way which made him thinking about the reason of the glance once again after he just got out from his deep thoughts.

At least he's not ignoring me, right?

And Donghae was still sulking, sitting in his chair with his body sliding down until his bottom was barely on his chair anymore, hands in his pockets while his right hand was tightening around the cell phone in his pocket, just in case. You never know.

He wanted to call Hyukjae, he really wanted to, but he was afraid of confrontating the bitter truth, namely Eunhyuk being angry with him. There was nothing he was more afraid of than having another fight with his best friend.
And the fact that Eunhyuk wasn't calling him was just proving the fact that he was sick of Donghae and was still angry. Damn it.

Donghae didn't give up the hope though and kept having his finger's wrapped around his phone, teeth grinding in desperate and impatience. He couldn't get his head clear; he knew that he should, he knew that he should be paying attention to his teacher lecturing especially because of his grades that were more fail than flail but seriously, the matter with Hyukjae made him insane. He couldn't think of anything else; Kibum was annoyed to death and actually not listening anymore but who could even blame him?

Donghae didn't know if it was normal to make such a fuss because of a, to be quite honest, little fight with his friend but it was his best friend after all, so it was appropiate to be worried, wasn't it? Wasn't it?
Donghae sighed. Who was he kidding. He was now officially labeled as weird.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Kyuhyun kept sulking the whole day as he was struggling with himself, the one that only had apologized when his mother forced him to and even then it was only in his childhood. He didn't pay attention to the weird things his classmates were doing at the beach, digging in the sand like little children on the playground. Most of them weren't paying attention to where they were digging, if it had the right conditions to have the invertebrates they were looking for. Those people were, for example, Donghae. And the ones that just had biology as a subject to avoid having physics or chemistry, subjects in which they sucked even more.

Kyuhyun couldn't hold a smile back when he saw that Sungmin belonged to the only ones who actually had listened during their lesson back on the hotel, being one of those who decently excavated in the sand, careful not to hurt animals that might be under the surface of the sand. That was another treat of his Hyung that Kyuhyun admired and love so much. He didn't know any person that was like that, always giving their best, no matter what it was, no matter how important it was or how unimportant. Sungmin was ambitious. But Kyuhyun sometimes also hated that treat.

His Hyung would always try to please everyone he meets, everyone in his environment, everyone who he knew and that was making Kyuhyun furious.

Because Sungmin was trying to please people of which Kyuhyun thought that he better shouldn't try to please. People who didn't deserve Sungmin doing all those efforts. Maybe there was another reason that Kyuhyun didn't want to admit. Sungmin was nice to him and Kyuhyun loved that. It sometimes made him feel special but he just had to remember that he was just like everyone else to his Hyung.

He did envy Hyukjae a lot for experiencing moments in which Sungmin practically freaked out, the facade of the always smiling, nice Hyung who was perfect to anyone, breaking down, getting a little split. Kyuhyun was doing that little pout again while thinking about all those things, not noticing how his brother approached him.

"Hey, Kyu! What are you thinking about?" Donghae said with that annoying voice while pinching Kyuhyun's cheeks.

"Ya! Don't you have anyone else to annoy?" Kyuhyun almost yelled as he was violently ripped out of his thoughts, glaring at his annoying brother.

"...No." Donghae pouted, hands unconsciously slipping into his pocket and feeling his phone laying heavily in his hand.

Kyuhyun frowned. Something was just as wrong with his brother as it was with him. Should he be worried? He had enough worries hadn't he? He had.

"Well then, go and do your task." he said gruffly. He knew it was wrong and mean but he also knew that Donghae was used to that kind of behavior after all. There was a long silence before he heard Donghae going away with fast steps. Kyuhyun sighed in relief before returning his attention back on Sungmin. He knew that he could stare at his Hyung's face forever but once again, that peace wasn't meant to last.

"Cho Kyuhyun, aren't you going to do your task?" he heard the strict voice of his teacher, Mr. Park calling out his name. Kyuhyun turned around, raising an eye brow challengingly.

"No."

Mr. Park raised his eye brow as well. "Is there a reason?"

"I already know everything about those snail... thingies." Kyuhyun stated with a little, maybe even arrogant, smile.

Mr. Park stayed unimpressed, now crossing his arms. "You know that this attitude will not support your participation mark." he simply said. "Knowledge is not everything in school."

Kyuhyun sent him a glare. Damn his damn teachers and their damn want to teach him damn stuff he already knew. He stood up slowly as possible, still not quite ready to give in his teacher's order but still knowing that his attitude wouldn't bring him anywhere. He stretched his body and Mr. Park just rolled his eyes.

"Keep going." he said before leaving to observe other students. Kyuhyun sent him a glare that he hoped of that it would burn a hole into Mr. Park's skull but unfortunately, it did not. So he decided to do what his classmates were doing; digging in the dirt. Sounded great. He sighed and stretched his body a last time before taking up a shovel. Too lazy to actually start immediately, he moved the tool in his hand, looking at it disapprovingly before sticking his tongue out to it.

Damn he must have been really childish and weird at that time.

So Kyuhyun sighed a final time before bowing down, looking for indications of beach creatures on the sand, hand with the shovel hovering above the golden surface of the sand while walking down the beach.

After all, Kyuhyun succeeded, better than other classmates after two whole hours and sat down again to rest. He looked at his watch. He had worked for half an hour; the time was almost over. He proudly looked at his bucket, filled with a bit sea water and snails he had found. Well, at least it distracted him from his problem a bit, he thought weakly before running his hands through his hair.

Damn. That topic came up again. Kyuhyun had decided to apologize to Sungmin as the next oppurtunity came but it was still giving him a hard time, especially since he knew that his Hyung was disappointed in him. Kyuhyun shook his head. Stop thinking about it. Stop.

"Kyuhyun?"

"I said stop!" Kyuhyun yelled out when he heard that Sungmin's voice was popping up his head again. It really seemed as if that guy was everywhere in his head.

"...Sorry?" Sungmin said shyly before nervously backing off. Did he do something wrong?

Kyuhyun jerked as he realized that the voice was not just a hallucination of him. "Hyung!" he immediately said. "What's the matter?" he continued. Somehow, he really hoped that Sungmin wouldn't apologize to him because that would have been not the way he planned it.

"Well, I'm sorry if I-"

"No!" Kyuhyun said, earning a confused look from his Hyung. He could have smacked himself for embarassing himself the whole time over, seriously. Sungmin decided just to ignore Kyuhyun's strange behavior and got straight to the point he wanted to talk to Kyuhyun about.

"Donghae is gone..." Sungmin said and Kyuhyun realized that Sungmin was right. He hadn't seen Donghae for the past two hours,

"He surely is somewhere around here." Kyuhyun sighed, seeing that Sungmin just wanted to talk about his annoying big brother.

"But...Where?" Sungmin insisted. He had planned on asking Donghae about Hyukjae right then and there.

"I don't know!" Kyuhyun exclaimed and regretted it immediately as he saw Sungmin's lower lips sliding forwards. That guy was pouting again and Kyuhyun had never believed that it was unconsciously. "Okay, we can go look for him." he sighed and stood up. Sungmin's face lightened up and he showed Kyuhyun another ultimate weapon that would always force him down on his knees. His smile.

"Thank you!" he said while flashing his perfect pearl white teeth, eyes narrowing as he smiled. Sungmin immediately turned around and went on his way of looking for Donghae, dragging Kyuhyun along.

"Wa-wait, Hyung! We have to tell Mr. Park!" He didn't know since when he had been that much of a good boy but Kyuhyun felt the sudden urge to tell his teacher about their undertaking.

"It won't be long, will it?" Sungmin said pleadingly. He didn't want everyone to know that he was looking for Donghae; those nosy morons would end up annoying him about the reason. Kyuhyun knew that he couldn't resist that face and followed his Hyung, turning around a last time to make sure that Mr. Park wasn't looking at them in that moment. "Fair enough." he sighed, hopefully for the last time that day, and followed Sungmin.

While they were walking along the beach, looking into each direction that Donghae could have gone to, Kyuhyun found himself enjoying this, especially since Sungmin's hand was fitting into his own oh-so-perfectly. It felt amazingly comfortable. They soon left the sandy beach and went looking for Donghae on other places, in restaurants, stores and shops.

"Where is he? He couldn't have gone that far, could he? What is he thinking anyway?" Sungmin whined when they sat down for a short break. Kyuhyun kicked off his shoes and threw his head back with an exhausted groan.

"That stupid kid."

"Do you always call Donghae that? He is your older brother after all." Sungmin wondered. He couldn't remember a second in his life when Ryeowook did not totally respect him. At least he never called his Hyung stupid, kid or brat.

"I sometimes really have the feeling that I actually am the one who takes care of his little brother called Donghae." Kyuhyun explained and frowned as he remembered the pain in his heels.

"How can he be your little brother if has always protected you as the big brother?"

"I've never seen him as a big brother. He is just an annoying little kid." Kyuhyun said. "I love him, of course, he is my brother after all, but I don't respect him as people usually do with their older siblings. He never did anything that made me think that he deserved my respect."

Sungmin looked at Kyuhyun in worry. He had never heard of anyone thinking that lowly of his own big brother. He had always thought that Kyuhyun was a little brat who was sort of afraid of the big brother after all but what Kyuhyun was telling him right now didn't sound like that at all.

"He always makes my mom worry by doing immature like, well, now. I don't know where he went and mom had always asked me to look after him rather then him looking after me."

Sungmin didn't know why but a little smile appeared on his face. The way Kyuhyun had been saying the last sentence made him smiling. "I think we should keep looking for him, shouldn't we?" he said gently before offering his hand to Kyuhyun after standing up. Kyuhyun shot him a grin and put on his shoes before accepting Sungmin's hand. He was kind of glad that their little quarrel from the morning didn't come up again but he still had the feeling that he had to apologize.

"There was a time when I thought of you as my big brother instead of Donghae." he confessed before walking down the beach again. It definitely was time to tell their teacher about the incident, he decided after a look on his watch that was showing 9 pm. It obviously had taken way longer than just a little bit, as Sungmin had predicted, but Kyuhyun actually didn't mind. It was time spending with Sungmin after all.

Sungmin stared at the back of Kyuhyun's back in shock before shaking his head. He didn't know that Kyuhyun had had those kind of feelings for him back then. He followed the younger boy after a while of realizing. It was not the time to think about Kyuhyun's literal brother feelings towards him since Donghae, Kyuhyun's real brother, had disappeared a few hours ago.

They reached the place they had been staying with their cours at past 10 pm and, of course, it was empty. Kyuhyun decided to call the teacher instead of going the long way back to the hotel in case that Mr. Park was going to give them any instructions. He took his phone and it turned out that Mr. Park had been calling him several times, no, actually over 20 times. The last call was one minute ago. Kyuhyun hadn't noticed it because his phone had been turned on mute.

"Mr. Park?" he said, calling back his teacher.

"You two! Where the heck are you? I've been calling you numerous times and none of you picked up! Are you insane? I was worried to hell! Come back to the hotel, immediately and we will talk about this incident tomorrow!" his teacher's voice instantly screamed into the phone, forcing Kyuhyun to hold it away from his ear in a distance that would actually save his Membrana tympani from bursting by that huge amount of decibels thrown at. Kyuhyun was using nerd words mentally, yes.

"I'm sorry Mr. Park but we were looking for my brother because he was gone all of sudden! I just wanted to call you to ask you what to do now and-"

"Oh, the other Mr. Cho! Yes, I already had a serious little chit chat with your brother! He left to the hotel without telling me anything! You three have no idea how damn worried I was!" Mr. Park continued but who could even blame him. He was the person in charge after all.

Sungmin, who was standing a bit apart, still caught enough from the conversation between Kyuhyun and his teacher to snap the phone away from the younger boy.

"Mr. Park. It was all my fault. Kyuhyun just followed me because I insisted him to do so and-"

"That is no excuse for-"

"Mr. Park! I am really sorry and we will immediately return to the hotel. I am very sorry." Sungmin said and held his breath when he heard Mr. Park doing the same on the other end of the line. Just for another reason than him probably, namely gaining enough air to continue his screams.

"Fine. Come back immediately." he just said and Sungmin pulled a grimace. That was not a good sign. He returned his phone to Kyuhyun and gave him an apologetic look, knowing that he would have to apologize properly later on.

"Come on, Kyuhyun. Donghae seems to be safe." he smiled weakly and Kyuhyun just nodded as the returned to the hotel without saying any further word.

They underwent a painful hour of complainings, screamings, whinings and even threats by Mr. Park before he finally let them going to their room with the words "I need a night to think of a punishment that actually reminds you to never do those kind of things again." mumbling on his lips.

Kyuhyun was the one to not really care that much about what punishment his teacher would think of while Sungmin was more than just worried. Sungmin, the boy who always wanted to please everyone, had failed this time, even getting yelled at brutaly. He couldn't blame Mr. Park though. When they finally reached their room, he fell on his bed, exhaustion and frustration taking over his whole body, and buried his head under the pillow.

Kyuhyun stood at the door frame and looked at his Hyung with worried eyes. He didn't know what to say but just put his phone and the keys on the table and slowly made his way to his bed, laying down there to awkwardly stare at the ceiling. He didn't know how long he had been laying there, doing nothing, when Sungmin finally turned his head, looking at his Dongsaeng on the bed next to him.

"I'm sorry, Kyuhyunnie. For bringing trouble to you." he murmured. His body was flatly, tiredly resting on his bed, arm hanging loosely on one side of the bed, fingers brushing the floor.

"I'm fine, Hyung. How do you feel?" Kyuhyun asked, the care and worry obvious in his voice as he sat up again.

"Hmmm..."

"Let's take a walk?"

"Hmmm..." Sungmin replied the same answer but gave him a small smile. "We are breaking the rules again." he added but actually not really caring about it. He was screwed either way. Sungmin stood up from his bed, stretching his body before looking at the clock. "10:30pm already. It's late." he said but made his way to his shoes anyway. Kyuhyun noticed the state of his Hyung's hair, messy and he didn't know why but it looked sexy.

He followed his roommate out of the room, leaving the hotel and walking down the same beach as the day before again. Sungmin began to kick the sand half-heartedly which probably must have hurt the sand a lot. Kyuhyun walked next to him, not saying a word because actually, he still didn't know what to say. He was so socially awkward. Maybe he should have conversed more with other people to actually know how to converse with that one special person next to him now.

"It feels good to walk like this. Having the wind blowing against your face, the fresh, salty air... I'm getting poetic." Sungmin began to talk, his voice turning into a little chuckle at the end of his words. "Let's do this every day, Kyuhyunnie."

"Of course, Hyung!" Kyuhyun agreed, more than just willingly. Sungmin gave him a suspicious look.

"I really wonder... Donghae always says you are mean and snarky and never even think of acting submissive in front of other people but what is this? You're like the most obedient puppy ever! Is he kidding me?"

"I just- it's- well,... uhm. It's hard to explain." Kyuhyun said, finding himself at a loss of words at what to say now.

"It is?" Sungmin chuckled before stopping and turning to the black sea.

"You see, you were like my big brother ever since we were little kids. It still is a bit of it." Kyuhyun tried to explain. It was partly the truth, he just forgot to mention that he way extremely shy because he had like the hugest crush ever on that guy. He was digging his own grave by emphasizing the fact that he indeed was only Sungmin's little brother but it was way better than telling him the actual truth. He had stopped along with Sungmin, making both of them watching the sea now.

"I see." Sungmin said, nodding slowly.

"Are you still upset?" Kyuhyun asked.

"Hmmm... it really was frustrating. Like someone had spilled a glass of water on you. Waking up to the brutal reality."

Sungmin did know of his unpleasurable character trait, Kyuhyun concluded. Sungmin did noticed that he was always trying to please everyone. It was not unconsciously. That fact only made the seemingly good feature even worse to Kyuhyun.

"Let's go back, Hyung. Sleep over it." Kyuhyun said, giving Sungmin a genuine smile. Sungmin found himself immediately smling back as he couldn't fight against that offer that sounded really nice to him. Sleeping about it would really help him.

"Mmmh..." he said while dragging Kyuhyun into the direction they came from. "This sounds more than just appealing to me."

They arrived at the hotel when Sungmin lost his flip flops. "Just go and open the door first!" he exclaimed towards Kyuhyun who nodded and walked up the stairs to the entrance. He put his hands into his pocket, searching for the keys when-

Fuck.

Kyuhyun remembered how he had put the keys on the table without picking them up again while leaving the room. What now? All he was doing at the moment was grabbing his dark brown locks in exasperation, trying to think of an option.

"What's wrong, Kyuhyunnie?" Sungmin asked, approaching him with both flip flops on his feets again. He saw Kyuhyun giving the door lock a look full of grief and could immediately think of what had happened. He was too tired to actually be angry.

"I..." Kyuhyun started. He didn't know how his Hyung was going to react. After all, that 17-year old boy was a third Dan in Taekwondo and probably even black belt in other Martial Arts. "I kinda lost the keys." Kyuhyun blurted out, swallowing after ending that relieving sentence.

He had thet uncertain feeling that Sungmin would might have become even angrier if he wouldn't tell him anything at all, just letting both of them standing at the windy outside for the rest of the night.

"You lost the keys?" Sungmin exclaimed, jaw hanging open from disbelief.
