[Of course, it's difficult to understand the dream; it's so dark, but yet so detailed that it's hard to believe it's anything but--]

[... Oh. It's him.

... huh. She pauses.]

Don't read too much into it.

It's just a nightmare.

I'm relieved to hear that there isn't more to it.

[[OOC: And even though there might be, he's not going to pry.]]

[... Damn. She's going to feel awful about lying to him. D:]

... yeah. Dreams are just dreams.

[Topic chaaange /o/]

Had any interesting ones lately?

Nothing particularly unusual, no. I suppose I could consider that a relief, though, as my ridiculous dreams tend to be the ones that get broadcast.

Well, that's not too bad. Or maybe even worse, depending on your perspective. I mean, some dreams are just hard enough to explain in the first place, and some others are just downright impossible.

That one about raining 'cheagles' was pretty cool, though.

You thought so? Thank you. I would have thought it was just strange, if anything.

You know, now that I think of it, talking with you might have had something to do with the shower of numbers in it, too...

... Talking with-

Numbers?

[A stilted pause.]

I didn't get that. Explain.

In my dream, it rained numbers. It was slightly reminiscent of your dream about equations, don't you think?

Rained numbers...?

Heh. I knew I liked you for a reason. That's a pretty good dream, then. Too bad I didn't get a chance to see it and all - but that's just a detail, really.

Sounds cool.

You knew about the cheagles, so I assumed you must have seen the...

Never mind.

It was a nice change of pace from all the sad things I see in dreams here, at least.

... yeah. Nevermind.

I guess so. But really, I wouldn't worry so much about that. If the dream's got information you can grill out of them, then emotional factors shouldn't even be considered.

I may have said it before, but I honestly wish I could think as objectively as you do. It must be so much easier to learn about things factually when you consider them that way.

I guess you could put it that way. But the way you think about things shouldn't really be about what you want to be. I should just be whatever system works for you, you know?

As much as I hate to say it, artists probably wouldn't get very far doing what they do if they thought like I do. Unless, you know, they painted equation proofs, or something.

Unfortunately, it had never really occurred to me to take up any hobbies besides reading, so I'm still not completely sure what point of view would suit me best.

I do enjoy listening to you talk about science, though.

Reading's the best hobby there is, besides research. I think you're on the write track, really. But if you're not sure, then maybe it's about time you sit down and go over your priorities.

... you do?
