(no subject)
Well hi everyone! It's been a while, though it keeps getting longer and longer between posts. (Though looking at my history, I've noticed that I don't really post much during this time anyway! XD) Life is just busy as always, especially these past two months! I helped with an academic conference in February, which turned out to be a huge success. X3 March has just been a very strange month with lots of odd things coming up, lots of personal family work to do. But, mostly I work on my research job at home and at school occasionally, which takes up a good portion of my time. (Although I found out that I'm going to work more in the summer! YAY! X3) Then, I have my Technical Writing and Java classes, in both of which I'm doing great. Java is challenging but fun, so I don't think I'll be totally hopeless as a programmer. XD I could actually see Computational Linguistics in my future, OMG! XD
The rest of my time.... well, I'm not quite what to do with the rest of my time, quite frankly! There's SO. MUCH. STUFF! I'm mostly focused on needlefelting right now, I dyed a lot of wool last weekend and I'm almost done with a project that I've been really excited about. I was hoping to have it done earlier, but life really got in the the way. XD But there's so much I want to do with my time, lots of creative projects I want to work on, and finding the time is really awkward. I also want to dabble in other programming languages, like Python and C (moreso Python, because of all the Natural Language Processing stuff built with it) and of course I have to find time to study for the GRE this year. I'm kinda feeling frozen at this point. I'm not sure which thing to pursue first!
Then there was Spring Break, which was still really great despite some major setbacks. XD Right before Spring Break I got a really nasty stomach flu that conked me out for a few days. Thankfully, I got better from it just as my boyfriend came up to visit me! However... my poor sweetie managed to catch my very same flu. ;;;^_^ But, he had it pass through much more quickly than it happened to me. We were still able to have fun and visit some lovely places though, and we had a great Easter with the family too. I'm so glad that we were able to have a good time in spite of both of us having to deal with being sick. XD
