Things have changed-everybody’s getting older; one by one, they’re enlisting for the army, and to be honest, Kyuhyun sometimes wishes he could just go back to the Sorry, Sorry era.

Somehow, the dorms feel so empty now-Hankyung leaving is one thing, but when everybody else is-well. Next year, Sungmin’s bound for the army and he’s not sure what he’d do about it.

Outwardly, he's all snarky about it, but to be honest, he’s starting to feel lonely.

Maybe, they’ve been roommates for too long-even if he has solo schedules now, it still feels sad. Schedules are meant to keep him busy (to keep things off his head) but obviously, it’s not enough.

This has been keeping him up all night, and World of Warcraft is not helping anymore. He begins to wonder when he became this dependent on his roommate, later he figures probably since he got back from the accident.

Sungmin’s known for his warmth towards everyone and Kyuhyun knows that the warmth for his is special, and for that he is really grateful-this is probably one of the most meaningful relationships he has ever made.

All those times Sungmin spent on him-their wine nights, gaming nights, even those simple nights he sang for the older man-they will be terribly missed.

Two years-that’s pretty long, after all.

The day they send Sungmin off to the army is the day Kyuhyun did not utter a word.

He did not get off the van, nor did he say anything to appease the managers.

All he did that day is stare at Sungmin from the window of the van.

Nobody knows why-nobody but Sungmin, because he has heard the soft sobs from the other side of the room last night.

“Don’t miss me too much, Kyuhyun-ah,” Sungmin says as he gets off the van. “If you do, you could always write me a letter. I’m sure you’ll find a way to send them in. Take care, okay?”

Sungmin pets Kyuhyun’s head and Kyuhyun bites back a frustrated sigh.

He tries to pass it off with a snarky laugh but Sungmin simply smiles back at him knowingly.

Three months in the army, Sungmin finds a letter in his hands.

It is not signed, but he is pretty sure who it is from.

“I am not really saying that I miss you-I’m probably just missing our wine nights, our selcas, and your snores. You snore a lot, hyung. I had to put a pillow to your face to shut you up sometimes. So yeah, it's your obnoxious snores…not you, hyung. Okay? Nope. Really. No. I don’t miss you. Okay, maybe you too.The room is lonely without you, hyung.

He figures everything has changed-they have been roommates for too long, so the empty space that is Sungmin’s bed isn’t a nice thing to wake up to everything.

But when he finds a response to his unsigned letter, he figures nothing much has changed after all.

“You’re really not good with this, Kyuhyun-ah. I’ll be back soon, okay? I miss you too.”

In that short exchange, the words I love you remains unsaid-but felt, nonetheless.
