Happy Chinese New Years!
I decided to hike my butt to Chinatown to see the dragons and firecrackers for Chinese New Year. There were ALOT of firecrackers. People had boxes of party snaps (those things you throw at the ground and they explode) and these GIANT tubes that spit out confetti when you pulled the bottom string. They were like confetti pops, but 50 times bigger. I was waiting for some terrible accident to occur. Some terrible accident probably did occur, since there were little 4 year olds running around with these things. There were also dragons. Lots of dragons that were going around and knocking on each door to get in and bring some good luck. I got my good luck over at the Egg Custard King.
These little red packets are filled with MONEY. I received many of them.

Someone put hair extensions on that poor child. That BIG cone she's carrying makes the confetti.
These were rather cute, but I was too shy with my Cantonese to buy one.
No idea what the hell this is, but it must pertain to the year of the rat.
