Well, seems to be on from the organiser's point of view! I just got the following email

You will be contacted shortly by the Gen ConT Australia Games Coordinator about your event. If you have any modifications to this submission, please contact our Games Coordinator at games@genconoz.com
Please note that this is a temporary system only. You will be advised when your submission has been converted to our new system in early October 2007.

which mentions the same kind of "we haven't had an event submission system before, and this one's not really working yet either but we're getting on to it" feel to it.
