Today's random good things post:
The greenmarket had sorrel on Saturday, and Whole Foods had lovely asparagus. Amy and I went for a walk in the forest on Sunday and I brought home copious quantities of wild onions. These things, when combined with a potato from our
Urban Organic box and a can of crab meat (alas, I didn't have a chance to get fresh crabs from Chinatown) and a bit of milk made for a very lovely soup for dinner last night.
I finally got my hair cut. Lost about an inch and a half in length due to having neglected it shamefully for four months, but it looks a world better and it'll be waist-length again in about a month and a half. And my hairdresser commented on the fact that was in extraordinarily good condition aside from the split ends. Also? I finally have a hairdresser who tells me she thinks X amount should be cut in order to get rid of the split ends, waits for me to give permission, and then cuts exactly X amount while simultaneously taming my hair and making it look amazing. This is nothing short of a miracle, really.
Hair Police? Best salon EVER.
The
Lush massage bar we got in New Orleans? Really is edible. And that's all I'm saying about that.
I won
this dichroic lampwork dragon on eBay last night! Shiiiiiiiiiny. I have been stalking these ever since one of my customers sent me a couple of his pieces to make into
two necklaces.
And lastly, the hellish bloating and muscle spasms that should've been over a week ago are finally going away. I don't know why my body has decided that PMS should happen during and after instead of before, but it's getting a little tiring. Still, it's nice to not wake up in pain, and after four days where the first thing I did upon regaining consciousness was to reach for the ibuprofen bottle, I'm quite happy to only have a little twinginess left today.
