I'm thinking of throwing a cookie-baking party. The idea, while not really fleshed out yet, is that I'd provide a space to work, flour, sugar, baking soda, etc, and everybody who comes to the party would bring their favorite cookie recipe(s) and the rest of the necessary ingredients to make said cookies. And baking sheets, because I don't have enough of them. We'd spend the afternoon baking, and then at the end of the party divvy up the cookies so everyone gets a good assortment.
Sound like fun? Amy and I are both all for it, and rosefox is too. If you're not good at baking, but want to bring a recipe and ingredients and hang out, I am very good at baking, and will gladly assist/teach/etc anyone who wants help.
One caveat: no Christmas carols. I worked retail for entirely too long to put up with that shit in my house. Not to mention the fact that y'know, it's not my holiday.
