This is my first time reviewing a beauty product, but I figured I'd give it a shot. This is for you @meantoddy. :)
Let me start by saying that I love the Fresh brand and their philosophy, though their products are a bit pricey. I've tried their facial cleanser (still use it), moisturizer and eye cream (liked them but still on the hunt for "the one"), face oil (alright but I've decided oils are not for me even when they're considered 'light'), and sugar scrub (loved it tho L was disappointed to find that it's not actually sweet :p). I've also tried their colorless lip balm which I did like, if only it hadn't completely melted one hot afternoon I accidentally left it in the car.
The Sugar Lip Treatment actually is the same lip balm I tried before, only with color. So the same drawback still applies as far as needing to keep it cool at all times, though I'm hoping that now that it's almost wintertime it wouldn't be as much of an issue. The case is nice, with a matte metallic finish, and the top needs to be twisted off for extra protection. The tube itself is pretty soft, but it glides on silkily without feeling oily. I picked the shade "petal" which looks reddish-brown on the tube but is a pretty mauvish pink when applied.
Since it's a lip balm, the color is pretty sheer but still noticeable. It smells and tastes nice, and it stays soft on my lips unlike other lip products which feel dry after a little bit. I just don't know yet as far as its staying power but I'll update later once I've used it longer.
Retail is $22.50 at Sephora, but I'm loving it so far. I think I've found my go-to everyday lippie. :)
