[Ramblings] Costuming for Sharded

Loops for the back lacing of my bodice are teh debil. TEH DEBIL I SAY. So I put it aside for a while, and started dinking around with bracers.

Eventually, they'll be made out of leather by a WoW friend of mine up in Vancouver. For now, I've come up with a half-decent cloth prototype that may or may not be useful. I guess I'll find out after this weekend, since I do have one finished.

For now, I just took some plain old muslin, and tore it into two strips to wrap around my wrists. Works well as a makeshift bandage, which it should look like because well, that's what they are.

I should be asleep right now. Besides the fact that nyterose is going to kill me when he finds out I'm still up, I have a few things to do tomorrow today:

  • Finish sewing the bodice together, stupid thing
  • Sew nyterose's tunic
  • Finish knitting the pillow cover
  • Gather our LARP gear together and do some laundry
  • Start work on the blue and red dress, if there's time
  • Get to the store to buy lacing for stupid bodice
  • While at the store, shop for some stencils for embroidery
  • Actually start writing up a basic character sheet
  • Actually decide on the damn character concept
  • Sleep O.o

The good news is, I have BOTH of my skirts finished. The only thing I want to do isn't time sensitive at all. I'd like to embroider the bottom hems and parts of the skirt itself, but that can wait until I find some stencils that I'd like and could trace onto the fabric.
