Update from the LNN
Hurricane Gustav has just been upgraded to an unprecedented Category 13, a report from the LNN Press states. With winds exceeding 400 MPH, the entire Gulf Coast is being advised to evacuate to at least 700 miles inland. Total devastation of Louisiana is eminent. The storm is also moving at a pace of 50MPH WNW and should make landfall between Lafayette and New Orleans within six hours.
Oddly enough though, the storm is apparently going to skip right over Southern Decadence in New Orleans, sparing the homosexual festivities yet again. This once again throws a cog into the televangelists' belief that the catastrophic hurricanes are God's way of ridding the world of the "gay agenda" and "fag celebrations" that the French Quarter is so well known for.
