I finally got a chance to go grocery shopping today. Among other things I needed, I was going to go pick up a post-Thanksgiving turkey at an obscenely low price.... I almost did but I'll explain why I didn't soon.
I picked out a turkey and then I looked at the section that had larger chunks of beef. I honestly considered getting a tenderloin due to it being $3.98 per lb (and I found one that cost under $12)... then I really realised how not enthusiastic I am about tenderloin. Boneless rib roast was also the same price and I looked through those, feeling generally unimpressed with the ones I was finding that cost about $20 (or really at all) and then I found it.
$25 but a nice fatcap, great marbling and... well, I have pictures. I'm actually dry aging it for the week and will be making it for myself on Friday or Saturday. Mmmmm, now this is a treat. It's also large enough for a few people to teleport or drive in and share it.
