Random Thoughts
I was at a movie recently, and there were previews approved for "Appropriate" audiences. WTF is an 'appropriate' audience? I've seen them for 'all' audiences, 'pg-parental guidance', etc. But this was a new one for me. Guess since I'm rarely appropriate, that's why I don't get it.
Rasple showed me a thingie on the 'net where R2-D2 is shown as a piece of debris in the latest Star Trek movie, and as a piece of one Transformer joining with Optimus in the latest Transformers movie (haven't seen it yet, but it's on my hold list at the library). Poor old R2! He's been reduced to bit parts and stunt jobs! Well, at least he's working. When was the last time you saw C-3PO or Gonk?
I've been looking on the web and thru jewelry magazines for ideas/inspirations/etc., and there's something that annoys me. Crappy, lopsided loops made by professionals. I work hard to make nice, even loops on my wires and connections. Sometimes their loops look like they just don't care - they're uneven, lean to one side or aren't even closed. Sheesh! Where's their love of their work/product. To me it's really a bad to have them in the 'techniques' section of a book or article where the newbie is looking. What knd of message does that send?
I am so looking forward to Black Friday/Saturday. NOT!! Tho most of JoAnn's customers are decent people, there's the few that have to fuck up everything. And we know who they are - We can spot them coming in the door. I wish we could keep them out. But its a free country and they're free to irritate us all they want. I will be nice and polite, but be sure, I would slap them up the side of the head and ask "WTF's wrong with you?!" if I could! At least I'm not opening this year. (Thank you, Karen.)
Oh, we tried a new sub shop (new for Us). The Firehouse Sub Shop at 100th & Grant. Great sandwiches! And we had fun trying a dozen or so of the 45 hot sauces they have there. Our favorite was the Raspberry Jalapeno by Original Juan Sauces. It was a long way to go for a sandwich, but I will go again. (They have an email club, if you're interested. www.firehousesubs.com)
I'm starting my X~mas wishlist, so if you need ideas.... B-D
I need to find another mood-critter. That mouse is starting to creep me out. B-/
