Had a good day today.
The day started off pretty slowly, marketing at the council room yet again. I called up some companies to follow up on the letters I sent but they haven't made decisions yet. At least nobody's rejected our offer yet. Minay and Czar were there too, marketing and doing a really big sudoku board.
Had a good time with Tin today, sharing some music, talking about our mutual support for the bulls (who lost after fighting back valiantly against a 0-3 hole), fooling around with my laptop's files and just talking about random stuff while eating siomai. We got to talking about best friends and keeping friendships alive during college, something a lot of people have a hard time doing.
As I was going back to econ, Tim called me and we went to Migs's house. I swear this day gets better as it goes. We ate pork curry and played 2k7 (which I haven't done for a long time) and dressed up for basketball with the BA and Econ sophomore basketball teams.
Minay also told me I got BA 101: 2:30-4pm. Just the schedule I want. I even checked my CRS at Tirona's house to be sure. I got it.
Went to Ayala Heights with the BA boys and saw that Dennis, Karl, Ace and Karl's brother were already there playing. Basketball never fails to be the highlight of my days. I just love the fact that I can now sprint down the court at a respectable rate (thanks in part to my gym and cardio). I've never been someone who was able to run fast and I just relish the feeling of zipping up and down the court, disrupting screens and going for rebounds. I wasn't able to rebound well today. I tipped too many rebounds away and wasn't able to jump high. I knew I should've gone to the gym yesterday. At least I learned how to defend against Tim and Tirona by taking charges.
I feel like my wrist is broken though, and my lower back hurts... so do my ankles. And I swear I was severely dehydrated. Small price to pay for playing basketball for three hours straight though.
Went back to Tirona's house to rehydrate and dress up. Tim took a bath because he still had a party to go to. We had some male bonding moments, shooting the breeze about girls, life and identity in general. Keeping friends, yeah, that's key isn't it?
Even people texting me for work didn't dampen my spirits. I mean, I'm ready and willing to work. Basketball has that effect on me, just give me a chance to rest after a game. Sleep and showers work wonders for me. However I see that I'm fully booked this weekend with work.
This is a really good day. English should really invent a word for this feeling.
great day,
friends,
basketball
