I really felt like a working man today.
When I arrived in econ, I punched in my time card and waited for the directors to arrive. People started arriving at a quarter before seven. We set up at around 7:30 and opened our services to the registrants at around eight.
The New and IMPROVED (?) CRS system. Everybody's talking about it but I'd rather not discuss it myself.
Spent the first shift with Tin and Pia. Nathan
_thenothing_ was guarding the door of the other room so I had people to talk to when there were no registrants. Dealt with some registrants and really didn't have any trouble. Pretty uneventful shift except for the fact that Batocabe did something unspeakable to me and punched me in the arm a few times.
Second shift was at the complab. By far the most challenging and most eventful shift of the day. We struggled with the new system and tried to accomodate as many people as we could despite the fact that the system kept crashing and people were getting pissed off. We had lunch in shifts and didn't stop enlistment during lunchtime just to be able to make the line move faster.
I took my lunch to HQ and talked with people while the break lasted.
More shifts. Familiar faces. Blur.
Things slowed down at around 4:30. We closed shop and talked at HQ. Bonding moments with people while details were arranged. I develope a fever of sorts. Must've been the transition from the heat and the airconditioned rooms, I dunno.
Commuted home. Walked instead of taking the tricycle, collapsed in bed.
