We went on a field trip to Subic today for geog 105. Cyril, Nathan, Janna Ong, Minay, Maui, Fred, Kar, Leslie, Pakaye, Chevy and Pluto were there. We left UP at around 6:30am. I ate my breakfast and snacked on a pack of chewy chips ahoy on the way to Subic. I handed Nathan my PSP and went to sleep.
We stopped at a gas station to buy breakfast. Somehow I ended up breaking the door of the bus...
Our first stop was some history museum. It was a very brief stop with a lot of photos taken. We didn't actually get to read through the displays because, face it, it wasn't that exciting.
We then went trekking. Kuya Miguel, an Aeta, then gave us a wildlife survival demonstration that would've put Naked Snake to shame. Then, a guide led us through a forest trail. It wasn't the hardest trail I've had to go through, but it was the first I had to manage in a long time. A lot of people ended up falling on their butts, but I managed to get through the trek without falling. Muddy and tired, we trooped to the bus and went to Chowking for lunch.
We then went to the mangroves. Water and mud enters our shoes. Hassle. We had to deal with wet socks and shoes.
We went to Zoobic safari next. Got up close and personal with tigers and crocodiles. A tiger even rode on the top of our coaster, amazing. I bought slippers so I could shed my wet shoes and enjoy the day. We saw dancing aetas, various animals, and fed tigers and crocodiles. Funfunfun.
Chocolates. That's what we bought at the duty free shop before going home. I'm actually too tired to continue writing a cohesive or interesting journal today so I'll stop right here.
