It was actually a pretty good day...

Today was a very good day.

I submitted my resume to the Institute for the Development of Econometrics Analysis (IDEA) and they told me I had an interview today. "Wear office attire." I ended up wearing long sleeves the whole day while lugging around my laptop.

Norbie visited me in Econ again today. He wanted to hang out and get lunch. We got lunch at Grill Queen and hung out at the econ lounge, fiddling with our laptops. I left him for a bit to walk around since the air conditioning in the lounge was making me sleepy. I ran into Nathan and Ria in the lobby so I got to talk with them for a bit. Pierre and Noel passed by as well and I wanted to take a picture of us guys since it was one of the few times that we were complete.

The interview came and I found out that the people working in IDEA were kinda friendly. It wasn't nerve-wracking at all. They wanted me to pass a sample of any paper I did for college. It turns out most of the papers I made for college were done in groups. The only ones I made by myself were my short stories for creative writing class. Thankfully, I found an old Kas 2 paper buried in the files of our virus-ridden PC. I hope that's good enough.

At around four, I had a sudden urge to rediscover the joys of reading fiction. I mean, I've been stuck reading a lot of things for my exams that I want to read something for leisure. I still have one exam for friday and I really haven't started studying for it but I just wanted to hold a book that I'd reward myself with after all this is over.

So I ended up buying:
The Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien
Mythology Class by Arnold Arre
The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera.

My wallet took a hit, but I guess it'll be worth it.

I'm sleeping early tonight. :)

interview, good day, books
