For qwirky, who asked for Sparky (John/Elizabeth, for those who don't know), watching Doctor Who, with Little Kyrd (a penguin who has a massive crush on John, for those who don't know)

John walked into the room to find Elizabeth and Little Kyrd sitting on the couch together, giggling at something on the TV. He frowned. Usually, the two of them weren't close. This disturbed him. If the two of them ganged up on him, he was toast.
"What are you watching?"
"Doctor Who," Elizabeth replied. "The Tenth Doctor. He's cute."
Little Kyrd honked and flapped her wings. John moved to sit on the couch, Little Kyrd between him and Elizabeth. "His hair's a mess," John commented. "Ow!" he exclaimed when Kyrd poked her beak into his arm.
"I don't think you have room to talk," Elizabeth said.
John watched. "Okay. Ninja Werewolf Cult? Why not just have life sucking cross dressing space vampires? And for that matter where's the Royal Air Force guy from last season? Now he was cute." When Elizabeth and Little Kyrd turned to look at him, eyes wide, John shrugged. "He was."
"Tell me why we love you again?" Elizabeth asked.
John grinned at them. "Because I'm cute!"
