Artist Statement
I have felt the awe of a black and white rough lemur handing me her newborns; I have felt my breath disturbed as a lion roared through me; I have had the honor to know what it feels like to hold the paw of a mountain lion. These experiences shape who I am. I find myself, again and again, in the unique position of being a bridge between the lay person and where I stand, whether it be nature or art. I continually strive to create an opportunity of learning with my audience. My hope is to inspire action. My goal is not to show you what I want it to be - the potential - but rather to express the beauty, grace, structure, chaos - the emotion - I experience while witnessing the moment you now see before you.
