I don't normally make non-fic posts here, but let's see how this goes:

1. I could kiss whoever suggested Office RPF for Yuletide right on the mouth. Brilliant! (Also Dinosaur Comics, because that just blew my mind.) As of right now it's the most requested RPF fandom, too! Um, I'm sure most of you know this, but if you want to sign up it's a ( Read more... )

I still demand my workman's comp. Are you going to pay me back the dignity this injured foot is losing me?

Yep, you can have your compensation in either knuckle sandwiches or bubblegum, so-- oh, wait, I'm just being told that we're all out of bubblegum.

Yaay for being interviewed! That was really neat to read. I always like listening to people talk about writing and talking to people about writing (which I don't do nearly enough of anymore. Also, I don't write as much as I should.) I've taken a couple screenwriting (for TV) classes since I moved and while I watch a lot of comedies, I find it extremely hard to write spec scripts for them. I think comedy, at least when it comes to television, is best written in a group. It's just so much easier when you have a person or a room full of people to bounce ideas off of. I think all of the fanfic I've written for The Office has been much more serious than the show would actually be.

I am doing yuletide though, and I'm curious to see what I get.

You know what makes The Office the GREATEST show? Stuff like this. And continuity by their writing staff. (Go writers!)

Hahaha, that site is AMAZING. It is ART to make a site THAT awful. Loooove!

And yeah, most fic for comedies is a lot more somber than the show, I think, which is understandable but sometimes a little disappointing! And I totally count myself in that.

Yay Yuletide! I hope you got a good assignment.
