Dewey's Read-a-Thon End of Event Meme

Apr 22, 2012 08:09

Wow! Its been another successful read-a-thon.  I may have missed the first few hours but the near 20 hours that I participated in should count for something.  And it was tons of fun!

The end has arrived, so here we go!

  1. Which hour was most daunting for you?  Hours 22 and 23 since I started crashing
  2. Could you list a few high-interest books that you think could keep a Reader engaged for next year? Wow, any graphic novel is a great pick me up, especially if you're reading longer or denser books. Nordic Noir is really popular right now.  Jo Nesbo is a wonderful writer and really engaging.
  3. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year? Maybe more cheerleading in the later hours
  4. What do you think worked really well in this year’s Read-a-thon? I liked a lot of the later mini challenges.  Some were really fun
  5. How many books did you read? 5
  6. What were the names of the books you read? Carpathia, 30 Days of Night, 30 Days of Night: Darkest Days, 30 Days of Night #2.5, and Haunted Greenville
  7. Which book did you enjoy most? Carpathia
  8. Which did you enjoy least? Hmm, maybe 30 Days of Night.  I did like it, but I thought the sequel was better.
  9. If you were a Cheerleader, do you have any advice for next year’s Cheerleaders?
  10. How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again? What role would you be likely to take next time?  Probably still a reader, but I'd definitely do it in October if I'm available
