Hello there. The name's Darth and I'm fairly new to the OHSHC fandom. I blame the terrible lack of anime here in Finland for that. At any matter, I am mostly known for writing Yu-Gi-Oh! shounen-ai stories but I have been growing interest for other fandoms as well. And now, without further ado: my introduction fic!

Summary: It was in Tamaki's nature to embrace the world, and in Kyouya's to embrace Tamaki.
Notes: I fell in love with the Kyouya/Tamaki pairing the moment I saw the way they interact with each other. But it was after seeing Kyouya's reactions in episodes 24 and 26 that I decided that I wanted to write something about them. I hope that the ending result isn't too much of a disappointment.
A Lover's Nature
It was in Tamaki’s nature to embrace the whole world. Whenever there was a stranger in need of a hand to pick them up, Tamaki was there with an encouraging smile on his face. Tamaki’s smiles were capable of giving confidence to the weakest person in the world.
No ill intention was ever present when Tamaki went on one of his sprees to save the world, or at least make one person’s life slightly better. The blond teen could spread out love to every person he came across. Kyouya often watched his friend’s escapades with a smile, because he liked to see Tamaki happy about being able to help. Still, he could not but feel slightly angered with how easy it was for Tamaki to care for complete strangers. To Kyouya, it did not seem fair that Tamaki would give more attention to people he did not even know than to his best friend.
Tamaki’s kindness was one of the main features that Kyouya found so admirable about the other boy but it was also the one he wished to control the most. The blond had been friendly and kind towards Kyouya first and the raven-haired teen could not help but hope that he would be the only one as well.
Kyouya was an incredibly jealous person. He had not been like that before; he hardly even acknowledged the feeling of his stomach twisting when his brothers were praised and he was left in the shadows. Kyouya had been a person who took things in stride, never letting anything or anyone affect him. He had been fully content to live with what he had and to simply accept the injustice of it all.
‘Before’ was a word Kyouya used to describe the time before he had met Tamaki. Everything that came afterwards was simply ‘some time ago’. Because the blond boy had put into motions so many great changes in the way Kyouya viewed the world, it felt right to somehow signify his life before and after that point.
Tamaki had been the one to teach Kyouya so much without really noticing it, simply by being himself. Kyouya had to admit that he was more content with his current life, having proven his father his worth and able to see things in a different way. Still, the emotions Tamaki had taught him about, also without really meaning to, were a problem. Kyouya could not go through a single day without thinking about his friend once and then there was that jealousy. That burning dislike towards anyone who managed to capture Tamaki’s always-slipping attention was something Kyouya would have preferred to live without.
Kyouya hated not being able to control his emotions and his increasing bouts of jealousy were getting out of hand. But, there seemed to be a lighter half to that emotion as well. As Kyouya’s negative feelings grew, so did the positive ones. Even though Kyouya could not stand having Tamaki’s gaze shift away from him, it was more than made up by the feelings he got when Tamaki helped him reorganize his files or took him out to some silly tourist attraction since he thought that they both needed a break.
Tamaki was always spreading his love around but Kyouya was on the receiving end of it more often that anyone else. And because of that Kyouya would never have Tamaki lose his compassionate nature. As much as Tamaki wished to embrace the world, Kyouya wished to embrace Tamaki and somehow that evened things out perfectly.
