So my laptop's Vista can run CS2 without much problems so far, Photoshop is fine. Problem is... Within the CS2... there is only Photoshop and Illustrator. Which means, no After Effects and Flash, which is the 2 other essential softwares for me. *facepalms* So I need to find After Effects 7.0 and... Macromedia Flash 8.0. I seem to be falling behind with software versions instead of moving forward aren't I? XD;; CS3 and CS4 wouldn't work on my Vista, and I have no idea why. Apparently my CS3 'called home' which is a new feature with the CS3 and above versions. Adobe detected that my softwares are not original and they killed them. There is a crack that actually prevents CS3 from 'calling home' but I guess not cracking Illustrator back then was a bad move. *sigh*
I'm considering reformatting and reinstalling my Vista, just to make sure I kill off CS3 and CS4 remnants permanently, just to try and use CS4 properly. But I'm not sure if it's a wise move or not. Or should I just kill off Vista and install XP instead? Although that would risk not being able to find proper drivers for my laptop's various hardwares. One thing about being a designer like me is that I need to be updated with these softwares, especially Flash and After Effects.
Maybe I should just kill off Vista since it's giving me so much problems. Lately Firefox had been hanging for no reason when I'm trying to save or print files via the Vista dialogue. Not sure what's wrong there. e.e;; Maybe later I'll dual-OS XP and Windows 7 if it's any good. Windows 7 just to run games, ehehehe.
Now I just need to find Illustrator CS2, AE 7.0 and Flash 8.0. Anyone of you guys have those installers? >__> Illustrator especially, I need that somewhat urgently.
