POST TO RULE THEM ALL! XD - 23 (Work, Strep Throat), 24 (Movie, Party & Dinner), 25 (Christmas, Vac)
December 23rd - Last Day of Work (for the year) & Strep Throat Discovery
Today was fun. I finally figured out the Italian guy's name: It's Nello. We all had a blast; it was a lot more busy in the afternoon then we expected, as the last several days were farely quiet. Andy told us to have everything ready by 10:30am so we could sit down and have a meeting. It was so dead in the morning that we had everything done by 10am, so we decided to all have an unscheduled break and sat down for half an hour until Andy came to see us around 10:30am to talk LOL!!! We got our cheque stubs (not the money) one week early (we have no idea why they were sent to us early) and a card. We didn't open our cards till later but mine had 30$ in it ^.^ I thought that was nice as I wasn't expecting any sort of X-Mas bonus from Aramark. Also, Andy wrote something really nice in my card, so it was nice to feel appriciated ^_^ So we all sat until 11am and then me and Leslie decided it was time to have our lunch break! ROTFL!! Did busy lunch, cleaned up super fast so I could leave at 3pm instead of 3:30pm just cuz I felt like it, but then I decided to help Fanta (the dishwasher) out so she could leave early, which meant I didn't actually leave early, I left on time instead (but at least that meant she could leave on time too because she usually leaves late). When Nello left at 3pm (that's how long his shift is, mine's till 3:30pm) he gave me a kiss on each cheek. It was so cute, total traditional Italian style right outta the movies or something XD He's so fun to be around, it's too bad he's married ^_~ When it was time for me to leave I got hugs from EVERYONE, including my boss Andy! It was so wonderful to be wished such a nice goodbye from everyone.
After work I headed down to the clinic to get my throat checked. Turns out the reason my throat has been sore (which is also the same reason my ears have been sore and sensitive to the cold and loud noises) is because I have strep throat @_@ It's actually sorta funny on one level, because I know exactly how I got it: From Joey. Everytime he saw me the last several times he'd be like "I'm surprised you never got it!" and now I finally did XD Alas on the other side it's a huge pain in the butt as now I have to take an antibiotic 4 times a day with food for 10 days. James don't let me forget to take this one while I'm down there, it's really really important!
December 24 - Movie, Open House Party, Dinner
Work gave me the day off so me and Jess went to see A Series of Unfortunate Events. It was a good movie, I found it held my interest. After this our father picked us up and we went to his friends Daren & Deb's house for their open house X-Mas Eve dinner/party like we do every year. They're great people who don't treat us differently just because we're way younger then everyone; they chat with us all the same. We found out when we arried that Daren proposed to Deb 2 hours before we arrived and she said yes!! SO CUTE!! *_* They're great for each other ^.^ We had a good time as usual.
Then we picked up my mom and the four of us went out for again another tradition: X-Mas Eve dinner at THE KEG, which happens to be the best restaurent in the world! XD Usually it's just me, my sis and dad but it's my mom's first year without Brian and they were together for a long time so we decided to blend a bit more of the X-Mas stuff we usually had a little separate with each parent. After dinner, which was great (it's a good thing I managed to make it through because I was starting to get EXTREMEMLY sick by this point because on top of the strep throat getting worse my period started just after the movie) we headed to my dad's place to spend the night.
December 25 - X-Mas Stuff
Got up and did presents with the father. Then the three of us walked down the hall (LOL) and did presents with the mother. Then all 4 of us headed back to my father's place and he made us breakfast. At 12:30pm XD Showered, then us girls headed back home to chill (well, they chilled and I started packing for my trip). Then we went back to my dad's house (LOL) to get him and the four of us went to my grandma's appartment for dinner. Visited the family, had a great meal (grandma cooked a turkey amoung other things) and headed home. Packed some more and now hear I am, all ready to jet outta here!

VACATION DATES:
Plane departs at 8am tomorrow morning (Dec 26). Plane arrives back home at 7pm on Tuesday, Jan 4th. Yes, I will be gone for New Years as well. I doubt I'll be online while I'm in Ontario.
