I had watched 33 as a raw, but not 34, and i think these might be my favorite pair of episodes yet.
I knew about the hats, I'd seen them, but the realization that Gwendal made them? Knitted them matching hats! i screamed with laughter. They should so sell those hats to fans, they'd make a million dollars. Gwendal in general cracked my shit up, when he was even imagining how Anissina would be running the country as a women's empowerment movement! and Greta! Bwahahaha!
The Yuuri/Wolfram quality of both episodes made me wriggle with glee. Wolfram teaching Yuuri to swordfight between seasickness, and then Morgif getting sick too! Yuuri was so confused and sweet before Wolfram went out to fight, and I can't wait for Yuuri to figure out why it is that Wolfram stays even though he's a wimp. I've loved all of Wolfram's moments of maturity for the last few episodes, and this one was perfect.
and they were blatantly still staring at each other while the entire rest of the crowd turns to look at the other contender.
and Murata! I'd sort of had a rising fear that he was going to become some sort of competition for Wolfram, what with all the best friend nudging and back slapping between him and Yuuri, but after he said "He's your fiance, isn't he?" so matter-of-factly, I feel a lot better about that. I love his cracked out switches from "Muraken!" to "All-Knowing Great Sage" (Ryuichi from Gravitation, anyone?). The entire "bishounen and the beast" exchange had me clutching my sides. It's a good thing these are subtitled, cause I would never hear half the dialogue in between laughing.
Woot! Conrad! even if it looks like he might have to fight Yuuri...cliffhanger? what do you mean cliffhanger? noooooo! I want to see Cecelie whip Cropped Pony's ass!
And finally, little Conrad and little Yozak? "And from then on we were inseprable"? SO CUTE OMG. Yozak's line about T-Zou I feel could be used as a catchphrase for the entire series:
Ridiculous, but effective.
