Questions

I have a question about the fathers of Cecilie’s sons and her past relationships with them. Is there any canon information about Gwendal’s and Wolfram’s fathers? Or is a fanfic writer free to make it up? As far as I know, Dan Hiri Weller is the only one of the fathers who are “important”. Valtrana seems to be Wolfram’s closest relative on his ( Read more... )

You can look up all sorts of songs by Inoue Kazuhiko (Guenter). He's the voice actor who makes me melt, though not so much for his portrayal of Guenter. Suffice to say I have watched many an anime just because he's in the cast.

As for the fathers of Gwendal and Wolfram, I felt free to make them up in my stories.

I WILL SECOND THE INOUE REC FOREVER.

I pretty much have anything he ever lended his voice to. Also, Okiayu Ryoutarou has a rather nice singing voice too. The anime/game series Harukanaru Toki no Naka De has BEAUTIFUL music that are quite melodious. muraken's seiyuu is in that as well. Sadly, I don't have a lot of akio music. (just Gwen's song and a sing along with the ED to school rumble...)

I'm looking into this, and now I've added quite a few songs by Inoue Kazuhiko in my growing youtube playlist of Japanese music. :) I'm also listening to Okiayu Ryoutarou now and yes, I like him, too. (As for Akio Otsuka, well, it seems to be a common thing for voice actors to also sing, and it's just so typical of me to have a thing for one who doesn't! I'll live with it.) Thank you for your suggestions!

though not so much for his portrayal of Guenter
*lol* No, when I think of his voice, I mostly just think of him shouting "heikaaaa!" and swooning... Ah, but I love him. :) Both when he's nosebleeding and when he's all serious and calm...
But yes, you're right, I realize now that Inoue Kazuhiko has a very nice voice, thanks for pointing that out. :)

Okay, that's what I'll do, too, then, when I need to. :)

Aha, so Wolfram knew him... that's interesting, and enough to build something on. (I don't know what this "something" would be exactly, I'm just vaguely thinknig of something Yozak/Wolfram... I like rare pairings!) Thank you for reading and replying. :)

Wolfram's father was ill and died when Wolfram was young, not too long after Conrad's father. Gwendal's father, who knows.

Thank you for replying! I find it interesting that Wolfram's father died after Conrad's... *thinking* I guess Dan Hiri and Chérie were together for quite a long time before Conrad was born, because in the episode with Gwendal (47), Conrad and Yozak are still young children. And as far as I understand, Mazoku age in a normal way until they are sixteen (when they're considered old enough to make important decisions for their future), and then the aging process slows down. So Conrad can't be older than he looks like. But how old is Gwendal really, since he has memories of Dan Hiri as a fairly young man and still sees him that way, until they go to that village where Gwendal finally notices that he's old... I don't know if I'm missing something, or if it's really a bit weird...

half breeds age at normal rate then slow down. a 16 year old mazoku would look like a small child :)

gwen is about 130ish. Gunter and Adelbert around 150, wolf is 82, conrad around 100.

Yep Mazoku age really slowly and half mazoku grow in spurts. In the novels Conrad said that he aged like a human until he was 12 and then seemed to completely stop for a long time.

Now that episode with Danheely in the anime was completely original to the anime so I don't know how true it is to the novel cannon >.>;

I can't remember where I read this, but I read something that said Wolfram's father (who hated humans as most Mazoku do) was killed by a human (in the war, maybe? But Wolfram was a bit older by then...), further cementing Wolfram's dislike of humans. Also that Wolfram's dad wasn't really a father to Wolfram. Apparently, he didn't even go see Wolfram after he was born. But Wolfram did know him, he talks about him sometimes (though I can't remember if it was the novels or the manga...). Stuff like "My lord father told me about the demon flute, he said it has a really nice sound when played" or "My lord father told me about the demon sword" So, it sounds like he would talk to him...

Sorry, that's what I know! I don't remember where I read most of that though.

That's very interesting! Yes, it sounds like he would talk to him... Thank you. I'm not sure yet how I'll use this information, but it feels useful. *thinking* Yes... Poor little Wolf!

...I remember a few years back there was a novel translation/summary from Celi's POV about Gwendal's and Wolfram's fathers on one of the KKM communities, but I can't remember where...I had tried to find it not too long ago for another reason to no luck...

Some details I remember:

--Like Gwendal, his father was younger than he looked.

--Wolfram's father was younger than Celi...I think he was described as having a puppy like temper/temperament (? I definitely remember something about "puppy" and "temper" and being called "cute")...He wasn't interested in Wolfram when he was born.

--both are dead

...I know there was more than that....but it was so long ago and I wasn't paying that much attention...

Thank you for answering. :) This question started mostly out of simple curiosity and wish to understand how it's all connected, but suddenly I feel unexpectedly interested in Wolfram and his father... :)
