Allright I have a question. Who is older, Gwendal or Gunther? I know neither of their exact ages are ever stated, but I always assumed Gwendal was older (because he looks older, which is kind of silly of me, considering the Mazoku's non-linear aging and all...). However, I've now come across several fanfics and fanarts where Gunther is the older

Gunter is almost 150 in novel 2 i believe it is. page 15 or something, i forget exactly. i *think* gwen's about 120-130ish, but i haven't done his profile yet. But considering Cacilie isn't much older than Gunter, Gwen's def not older than GunGun.
Gunter's the rep for the von Christ family, as he's one of the 10 nobles. But it's likely he has people taking care of things. I've no doubt his mom's handling everything. She's rather impressive on things she can do. It was her idea to adopt Gisela (her family wasn't doing so well) and had to pull massive strings to pull it off.

The thing about Gunther's mother is really interesting! I had no idea she was ever even mentioned at all (apart from a throwaway sentence in novel 1 where Gunther mentions he's descended from the lake people...)

"外見は三十そこそこ。(今日マ94)(今度マ190)(三十路前、とも)(今夜マ40)"
and gisela's dad had died and gisela's mom wasn't doing well, so in order to get her a higher education, she did lots of stuff to get her adopted by Gunter. I think she's about wolf's age (a little older though), so he wasn't very old when he had to take her on, i'm sure. it's in the あしたマ novel on pg 30 :)

It's close to where Conrad talks about the importance of being 16, and after his mention of his own aging and deciding to live as Mazoku at 16. (sorry I can't give a page ref >_<)
I just noticed something, chapter 2, a bit after Anissina took the knitted elephant out, narration says "if something has been happening repeadly for nearly 150 years, one would eventually understand"- This implies that Gwendal is near 150 in age too.
I wonder if Takabayashi ever thought about these things...

i'm bad at it (elementary japanese ftw!) but i have several people that help me and clean up behind me :) I just can't find the contact address on this page for the life of me D: i've got most of Gunter's done, and a chunk of conrad's with a few bits and pieces of anissina's (she performed appendectomies and sex change operations, apparently XD).
