It was brought to my attention today that my fic has been translated into Spanish without my permission. Upon looking in the Spanish section under KKM on Fanfiction.net, I noticed that there were other fics that have been translated as well. Some of them give credit to the original author (there may be one or two of them that don’t), but there’ ( Read more... )

The strange part is that it gives a warning for Lemon and Mpreg which neither are in the Love and War fanfic (at least, not yet? for the lemon).

So was it reported and removed, only to be uploaded again? Still no mention of mikagechan, the original author.

Lemon? Potentially; I haven't decided yet. Mpreg? Definitely not. If I wanted to do an Mpreg fic, I would start a completely different one and warn people about it from the beginning.

I have no idea if it was removed only to be put up again. If that's the case, I'm hoping it will be deleted again soon.

Yes, it does look like it was put back up in the Amor Yaoi site, since it was published on the 22nd, just yesterday, and the link kuroyune showed was up on the 19th. The one on FF.net and this particular site are the same person.

I knew there wasn't going to be an Mpreg in LaW since you mentioned it last chapter, maybe that's why the Spanish translator got confused. And I've been reading Covering the Bases on the side. I just wasn't sure if there was going to be lemon in later chapters or not, since you hadn't yet said anything about it.

Either way, I really hope this does work out. Looking at the reviews of the Spanish version, you've got a lot of people behind you, even the reviews in Spanish are saying that it needs the permission of the original author. Think you could get away with updated it in your LJ instead? *is a little hopeful 'cause she doesn't want this person to screw it up for the rest of us*

I've been debating on whether to put any lemons in my fic (if I do, it definitely won't be anything too descriptive just because I don't think I'd feel very comfortable writing some hardcore porn). ^^;

I hope things work out, too. Either way, I'll still be working on it, just not posting anything on FFN. Depending on how much I get done, and when may beta will have the time to look it all over, I may end up putting some things up on my LJ. I really hate to disappoint my readers, so doing something like that is a definite possibility. :D

*breathes a huge sigh of relief*

Whether you put a lemon in LaW or not is completely up to you. For LaW's case, I don't think it would be necessary. It's one of the few Yuuram fanfics that I've read that really stands by itself. Lemons are just added bonuses for stories with such a great plot. ^-^ LaW's could simply be a lime or something entirely implied. The scenes in Covering the Bases are hot enough. *nods* Plus, you can keep the rating lower that way. Or just leave a juicy scene out of FF.net entirely. I plan to do a little editing for my fanfic's later scenes on FF.net. But of course, that's a ways to come.

This does not make me happy at all. There's only so many more warnings I'm going to give this person. I'm trying to be nice, but apparently that isn't working.

Thanks for letting me know it was put up again. :)
