Colour version!

Oct 03, 2006 21:42

Okay, I just spent way too much time, wrestling with a touch-pad, to bring you a coloured version of my first Yuuri/Murata art.  The conclusion:  I NEED A MOUSE!  However, all in all, I think it came out pretty well.  Once I get a mouse compatible with my computer, I'll try to do an improved colouring job.  Bur for now, please check it out!

Thanks! Actually, I do have glasses. Been wearing them for sixteen years. When I'm drawing realism, I draw them differently. I was going off the pictures of Murata I have from a 3/4 angle, and the way they draw glasses in this series. Very over-simplified. Of course, I don't have many pics that are screencaps from him at that angle, but I do have a few. They all look like that. Could you possibly point me to some better pics of him? I'm really not used to an anime style yet (this is only my second drawing in this style), and I still need reference pics.

interesting that you have a snape pic in your reply
because i was just talking to someone about alan rickman
and his ... er ... gorgeous music video
(if you like him, and you havent seen it, then go see it NOW)

but i'm off topic..
you explained the glasses thing in your post...
i wear glasses too (gave up on my contacts and refused laser surgery)
i like Murata Ken but I dont have any art to give you...
am glad the others have, though...

I wear contact lenses to work most days, and definitely whenever I go to the gym, but I still wear my glasses at night, or days when my eyes are too dry or tired to torture them. If I could afford lazer surgery, I'd get it without hesitation. I play so many sports and do so many active things that glasses can become a hassle for me.

I'm not a huge Alan Rickman fan, although I find Snape's character interesting. I used that particular icon there because a sarcastic "oops" felt just about right. But I might be interested in a music video. Entertainment is always good.

On another note - are your posts meant to sound hostile or condescending? Because whether or not that's your intent, that's how they feel to me.

my. no. i wouldnt write at all
if that's the way i sound to you.
i'm sorry it sounds that way.
and it is most definitely not my intent.

and what works for someone else may not work for another
i was wondering what put you off...

if i had art, i would share
but i really dont have

and i admire people who can sketch
so please, i was trying to say that
seemingly stupidly, seeing what you have to say.

again, my apologies.
it seems my appreciation wasnt coming out right.

It's okay. Different people write differently, so I understand now. It's okay. I'm glad you like it. I altered the glasses a little bit. I think I see what you meant before. Tell me if you think it looks a bit better.

Thanks! :)
