That's an interesting way of looking at it, and it's one of the things that does bother me about Yuuri.

I'm reminded of the line from 'The Incredibles' about how making everyone special means that no one is.

yes, that bothers me about Yuuri too. It's so obvious that the people around him have issues but he's off in lala-land all the time. Yes, he's a hero to his people but to his friends...he's a dirtbag lol. but thats what character development is for!
