Originally uploaded by kyoppolife. maybe i should be sadder than i am. maybe i should be more mournful. at this point, i am not even all that angry anymore. frustration has begun to set in. frustration creeps in when you realize that maybe you are going to actually lose the fight. you stop dodging punches and suddenly your feet stop moving. instead of throwing counterpunches, you kinda just raise your hands up once in a while to soften the blows coming at your head. you get knocked down, you take the 8 count and you get those few seconds to remember why you're in the fight in the first place and that whether you are destined to win or lose you still owe yourself your best effort. if honor isn't enough to get your feet moving and put some snap back in your punch, then let it be about revenge.
bush is in town. so is every other republican and democratic political leader. 3500 press credentials were issued last week. the entire city, as said by the ny times, has become one giant political talking point.
