Nance and I braved the Christmas rush in Quiapo & Divisoria earlier today. As I got off the LRT, I nearly chickened out at the huge crowd shuffling towards Quiapo Church.T_T
Anyways, we I bought a huge load of DVDs. I got myself Hitman Reborn, NANA, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Ranma 1/2. I wanted to get a few more DVDs, except I had to hold back as I still needed to get a Christmas gift for my niece & staffmates. I also got the gayest a cellphone casing for a friend.XD
We went to Divisoria afterwards. We spent the entire time in Divisoria being pushed and shoved around by people rushing to buy gifts. It was total mayhem!XD We had fun nonetheless. Nance bought some cloth for her loli cosplay & Kenken's Road Kamelot costume. We also tried looking for decent checkered cloth for her Nana & my Shin cosplay.=3 I still can't believe I need green & red checked cloth.=_= I hope I don't look like a Christmas present for Reira.XD XD XD Our last stop in Divisoria was 168, where we searched for violet & pink striped socks. Aaaaaaaaaand, I finally bought the 1/10 scale D.Gray-man figures (Allen Walker & Lenalee Lee) I've been pining for AGES. They were pretty decent, plus since I'm in the middle of a huge D.Gray-man fan thing.XD XD And LOL @ Cross-sama. Sorry. No plastic figures to immortalize you.XD
Getting out of Divisoria was much difficult from getting in but we managed to take a jeep back to Quiapo. I swear, Nance & I are really lucky with these jeepneys.XD Everyone seemed to have a tough time hailing those monsters but we still managed to snag one.XD
Since Nance was looking for bracelets, we headed to Recto. We weren't able to find any decent stuff so we decided to head back to Quiapo. We took a short detour to the underground pass in Recto where we discovered a shop selling customized boots. We were so excited because the boots & shoes were so unique & well-made. The prices were pretty okay for custom-made boots.=3 I swear, if I decide to go all out with this D.Gray-man cosplay, I'm getting Allen's boots made.XD Getting out of the underpass was crazy though. We went through the WRONG exit & we had to go back laughing like mad.
Despite the hell we went through, we really enjoyed today's trip.^^ We were both satisfied with out purchases & we had a great time talking about plans for next year.^^ Waaaaaaaai, I hope all our plans push through! I'm so excited!=3
