Incompetence
Dear People with Jobs,
For the sake of your coworkers PLEASE actually do your job. All slacking leads to is someone who is already doing the work of three people and managing to go to school at the same time has to take up your slack and take the heat for deadlines that YOU missed.
Go die.
So I had to take the heat for about $26,000 worth of sales being held up because one of my coworkers was not doing his job. He was holding things up and not telling anyone when he needed something. Seriously he just sat on the work until someone gave him what he need. How the hell am I supposed to know that you need the art unless you tell me you do? I"m already doing the work that it used to take three people AND i was trying to go to school. Now i've dropped my class and am working overtime and answering to about seven people for something that wasn't my fault!!
On top of that the other company that provides us with the art has some complete dick in their art department. We have titles we ordered at the BEGINNING OF DECEMBER that they still haven't given us the art for! We put all of this information on the sheet to tell them what version we need, match the title to the author, even give them the ISBN of the PROPER version and they still manage to screw that up. BrillianceAudio is so GRRRR!! *stabs a paper with a pencil repeatedly*
I'm exhausted and thought I could handle it without a rant, but it's four days and I'm still having the finger pointed at me! I've gotten the major rush orders out and I'm working on all the others, but I'm human and I still have other things I need to be doing. Plus, I wasn't able to sleep last night until late so the lack of sleep broke me a little.
Now that everyone involved has had their two cents put in it should go a little smoother. I'm getting the covers to the print room so they can get the orders out. Some of my other jobs are suffering a little, but I at least managed to touch one of my other set of covers today. Maybe tomorrow I can finish up my fliers and get to the rest of the work that's been sitting on my desk for the past four days. *sighs*
