[Ryohei is juggling
FLAMING. TORCHES.
His shirt and the bandages on his arms have some singed places, and there are several spare rolls of bandages on the gross near his feet, but for the most part he looks spectacularly not-on-fire.
Who knows how long that'll last.]
this is probably a terrible idea,
juggling is almost as cool as boxing,

...That's gotta take some nerve.

[He drops one of the torches, but manages to catch the others before stomping it out.]

It's probably worth mentioning that the room behind Alex is dark - he has no windows, and he tends to keep the lights off - except for the vague shapes of furniture and a row of tiny red lights somewhere in the background. His face is lit by the screen.
Now that the overlong scene-setting is done, we can get to the part where Alex half-startles when the torch gets dropped, then grins a bit at Ryohei's recovery, impressed.]
Obviously. How long'd it take to learn that?

[If he's noticed how dark Alex's room is, it doesn't occur to him to mention it.]
It's something to pass the time to the extreme.

[Much more upbeat than your paranoid/crazy buddies from home. :|]
Hey, how come you keep your room so dark?

...Oh.
[The grin falters.]
Just- prefer it.

[Let's go with that!]
Yeah, I mean, they're sensitive. You know.

I had to have a fight where the lights were so bright I couldn't see once. That was bad to the extreme.
I still won, though!
