Considering Ryohei's fighting skills have steadily become more complicated as his series progresses, it's time for a rundown of what he can do and how. Here's the complete history of Ryohei's fighting development to his current canon point.

The Varia Arc
Initially, Ryohei was just a boxer, albeit one who could take much more damage than your run of the mill middle schooler. He was considered the weakest of the seven Vongola guardians (among whom, hi-blog is generally considered to be the strongest overall fighter), but under the tutelage of an arcobaleno, Colonello, he quickly caught up with and, in terms of raw strength, surpassed many of his cohorts.

Over the course of a few days Colonello taught Ryohei two primary lessons:
☀ His body needs rest to be in top form. If he trains constantly, as he always had up until then, his muscles and cells would never be given the chance to recover from the work. (1, 2)
☀ That once his body was in top condition, he could focus the power of all of his cells into his punches, resulting in some pretty massive destruction. (1, 2, 3; This is also a good example of how much of a beast Ryohei is when it comes to taking physical damage.)
There are numerous other early examples of the kind of damage Ryohei can do before he ever even has custody of the Vongola Sun ring, let alone learns how to fight using dying will flames. He uses his (already broken and ruptured) fist to shatter his opponent's metal knee in an attack called the Maximum Cannon. (1; Of note in this example are the sparkles around the point of impact: they're very similar to those found in sun flames, perhaps indicating that Ryohei was capable of using sun flames before he ever really knew what they were.) In another example, demonstrating the role of the Sun Guardian (to turn the tide in hopeless situations), Ryohei levels the school gym with a single punch that his friends initially mistake for an explosion. (1, 2; Note that this is about a week after he had previously hurt both hands to the point that he could barely use them.)

Not only is he ridiculously strong and durable, despite his general forgetfulness and thickheadedness, Ryohei can be clever when it comes to fighting. During a fight in which the lights were so bright, he couldn't open his eyes to see his opponent, he realized that, if the force of his punch grazed his opponent's body, he could use the salt crystals from their evaporated sweat to break the lights. (1, 2, 3, 4)

The Ten Years Later Arc
About five weeks after the events demonstrated above, Ryohei joins his friends ten years in the future. There, he learns to use his dying will flames and gets some equipment to augment his strength:
☀ Kangaryuu, a sun-type box animal in the form of a kangaroo, which fights in tandem with him and at his command. (1, 2) She's classified as a support box, and at times carries a large cannon on her back. When she shoots Ryohei with it, the sun flames in the ammunition spread throughout his body and heighten his strength, speed and endurance exponentially for the space of three minutes. (1, 2)
☀ The Sun Iron, a spade-shaped box item that allows him to evenly spread sun flames over bodily tissues in order to heal them. (1)
☀ A box containing a pair of boots that focus his sunflames through the soles, allowing him to fly and hover. (1)
The last item he receives was a Vongola box meant especially for him, containing equipment like that of the first generation Vongola Sun Guardian, Knuckle. In order to equip it, Ryohei must first have Kangaryuu shoot him, and then put her into her Cambio Forma (altered form). At that point, Kangaryuu integrates with the equipment for form Knuckle's Maximum Break. (1, 2) It's with this equipment that the aforementioned three minute time limit comes in, as well as the associated jump in his strength and speed, allowing him to fight opponents who would otherwise be far out of his league, and for that time period making him the strongest of the Vongola guardians. (1)

In terms of attacks, this upgrade vastly improves his Maximum Cannon, which he is now capable of projecting as a directed shockwave of sun flames, no longer limiting him to using the attack on opponents or objects within range of his fists. (1) In addition, he gains an attack called the Maximum Ingram, during which he can deliver a barrage of punches at high speed, and by implication can only be used during his three minute power boost. (1)

When he and his friends finally get to go back to their own time, their box weapons are condensed and turned into a single ring, shaped like the head of their box animal. (1) To summon Kangaryuu and his other equipment is now just a matter of focusing sun flames into the ring and directing her to equip whatever she needs.

The Shimon Arc
For starters when discussing this arc, let's put into perspective how powerful Ryohei starts out when he's only putting about half his effort into it. (1) With that out of the way, we'll move on to how his skills develop. For starters, Ryohei's now able to use just the presence of Kangaryuu and her sun flames to heal wounds up to a certain severity, dispensing with the Sun Iron. (1)

After their opponents for the arc are revealed, the Vongola rings are shattered, then recombined with their animal rings. After the guardians infuse the new amalgamation with their respective flame types, it produces new weapons, dubbed Vongola Gear. Ryohei's is the Bangle of the Sun Ver. X. (1)

Like the rings before it, when infused with sun flames, the bangle releases Kangaryuu. At Ryohei's command, she can then initiate a new cambio forma, merging with Ryohei himself to form his new Vongola Gear. (1, 2, 3, 4) Some aspects of the gear are similar to his box weapons from the previous arc, including the ability to focus flames through the soles of his feet to propel himself. However, the three minute time limit has been eliminated and replaced with a new technique: as he takes damage from his opponent's attacks, even if they only graze him, it charges the flames on his bangle.

With only a thirty percent charge, Ryohei's attacks are pretty devestating to his surroundings. (1, 2, 3) A normal person wouldn't survive the damage a strike at sixty percent can do to the body. (1, 2) A strike at full charge, one hundred percent, creates a massive shockwave that could probably level several buildings all at once.
(1, 2)

The final thing to say is that Ryohei's ability to fight after taking massive damage has by no means decreased. During the fight these examples are from, he suffers massive head trauma that includes a broken nose, numerous cuts and bruises, and no less (but possibly more than) four broken bones. None of this deters him from staying on his feet and continuing to fight. (1)

In RP
It should be noted here that my understanding, and the way I implement Ryohei's array of techniques and abilities, is that now that Ryohei has the Vongola Gear developed in the Shimon arc, he no longer has the first generation guardian's gear, and that there are no circumstances under which the three minute time limit would be used or apply. However, I am under the impression that the Vongola Gear, previous attacks such as the Maximum Cannon are still extent and can still be used without equipping the Vongola Gear, since he was able to use this attack before he even had his ring or knew how to use sun flames.

I also operate under the assumption that Ryohei can use sun flames to heal regardless of is he has or uses the Sun Iron or Kangaryuu to do so. I have developed him in-game with this in mind, increasing the extent of the types and severity of injuries he can heal with the assumption that his skill will increase with use, abut is also variable depending on the degree to which he's able to focus at the time.
