If you are, then TOO BAD. This gives me something simple and sometimes thought-provoking to concentrate on after a long day of school.
Last night I finished watching FMA: Brotherhood. The ending was so good! I mean, I already knew how it ended thanks to the manga, but seeing it animated made it that much better. SO GOOD, MAN! You should check out the series if you haven't already.
This is a nice segue into the meme answer.
I don't feel like going into great detail on anything, so I'll just give short blurbs about a lot of things that make me feel better.
1. Playing video games with my friends. Sadly, I don't get to do this much during the school year.
2. Listening to music. (Except for Louis Armstrong. I cannot stand his music, and it doesn't help that they play it everywhere.) I can listen to a single song on repeat for 10-15 times if I like it.
3. Watching animated movies/shows. Live action TV/movies don't make me as happy. Maybe it's because of the childhood Disney nostalgia, or maybe I just have a higher tolerance for mediocre animated shows than I do for mediocre live action shows. Hetalia Axis Powers is especially good at making me feel better. I'm not sure why... I like the show but it isn't one of my favorites. But somehow, the stupid humor always manages to cheer me up. (As a side note, apparently I am one of the few people who likes the theme song.) XD
4. Hugging Sothe. He is a 1/1 Eevee plush. He was my study buddy tonight when I had to read through some long and boring chapters for my computer science class. Yes, I'm an adult. Why did you ask?
5. Food. I have a tendency to treat myself to foods I like when I'm feeling down. This includes cookies, cupcakes, broccoli, mac n cheese, pasta in general (but especially mac n cheese), and Indian food. Today I had broccoli and cookies and chicken tikka masala with naan. On that account, it was a very good day.
6. Grey, rainy days. They perk me up when I'm feeling sad and calm me down when I feel overwhelmed. I'll be a very happy person if I can move to a city with mostly overcast and rainy days.
7. In the past, completing homework assignments made me feel better. Especially for subjects like Calculus and Physics that were mostly logical. (When I finally understood what I was doing, the accomplishment felt so good.) That changed in college. These days I can stare at a linear algebra problem for hours and still not get it right. I thought that my days of enjoying homework were over, but recently, I've found that doing my Japanese homework makes me feel better. Probably because, for once, I understand why I'm learning it. My "this will actually be useful!" radar keeps pinging.
8. Fire Emblem. Actually, wait, I take that back. Because I am stupid and forget to check enemy ranges before moving my pegasus knights, they tend to get OHKO'd by archers. And then I find myself screaming (mentally) "WHAT DO YOU MEAN I HAVE TO RESTART THE CHAPTER FOR THE FOURTH TIME?!" And don't even get me started on the Black Knight battle in Path of Radiance. That was pure torture.
9. Art. Well, most of the time art cheers me up. Occasionally I'll start drawing something and I can't get it to turn out how I want no matter what I try. In those instances, it's just frustrating.
