Cubism Pokemon group buy + Disney meme Day #1
Does anyone on my f-list want to do a group buy for the 2nd scramble U figure set?
$2.50 per figure, not including deputy fees and shipping to you.

There will be 2 payments
Payment 1: item price ($2.50) + Japan shipping and deputy fees (most likely $2.50-$3 per figure) + PP fee ($0.50) = probably $5.50 to $6.50 total. I should know the exact amount within a day or two.
Payment 2: shipping/fees from me to you, around $3.00-$3.50 if you live in the US. (If you're not in the US, it would be at least $7 thanks to USPS's stupid price hikes.)
There will be no international shipping charge because I'm combining it with one of my Noppin boxes. \o/
The only downside is that you might be waiting a while for these figures. I'm probably going to wait 1-2 weeks to request shipping on my Noppin box because I'm trying to win a certain item first. And I am 99% sure I will be shipping via SAL instead of EMS to save money. So... the "fast estimate" is 2.5 weeks until the figures get to me (if I win that item tomorrow and immediately request shipping), the "slow estimate" is about 4.5 weeks (if it takes a while). Hence, posting this on my personal journal instead of the comm due to the "packages must be mailed 35 days after receiving payment" rule. And also because I've spammed the comm with enough posts lately.
If no one is interested I'll buy the set anyway and figure out what to do with the non-Eevees later, but I thought I would offer a group buy first because the price is good and because it's less work on my part. (I hate dealing with "for resale" items because I have to keep track of all the details for tax purposes.)

I've decided to do the 30-day Disney meme that's been floating around my f-list. I'll probably end up falling behind and having to post multiple days at a time, however.
Day #1: Your favorite character - "Lion Hamlet", aka Simba.
Man, I miss my Simba icon on LJ/DW. ;__;
When I was a kid I wanted to be Simba. Part of it was because "lions are awesome!" , part of it was because I was obsessed with everything TLK-related, and part of it was because I viewed him as a role model. Kid Simba was the same "age" as me, but he was really brave and outgoing, whereas I was the shy girl who always cried when she was scared or injured.
For the record, I still think Simba is a good role model. Not so much for the idiotic bravery, but because he learns that you have to take responsibility for your actions, and that running away from your problems won't solve them. (He never does learn to quit being a helicopter parent, but that is from the sequel. We shall not speak of the sequel here.)
